Hi there,

Feel like rambling and so I shall.

I just read about that pandemic that they are warning about. Reminds me of how the neo cons are proposing to place the responsibility of dealing with disaster relief in the hands of the military.

When the Gov facked up with Hurricane K. my first responce was "And once again they show their gross incompetence," but then I started hearing about how FEMA deliberately sabotaged Hurricane K.'s relief efforts in New Orleans. And next Bush steps up with the proposal to place the responsibility of disaster relief in the hands of the military. Taking into consideration how things were handled in New Orleans, think "confiscating guns of law abiding citizens" -- something that later in court was labelled as "unconstitutional", this means giving the military permission take over any area of their choosing. The choosing of the neo cons, that is.

If that proposal is accepted then the neo cons can take over any given area by simply releasing bacteria in the drinking water and there you go: a nice flu epidemic! Reason enough to "quarantine", the word of Bush's, well, his speech writers, choosing.

Anyways, all this has let me to believe that there is some precedence for the thought that the neo cons facked up the disaster responce with H.K. just so they could later say, "See!! See!!! Thats what happens if you don't give the responsibility to the military!! We NEED the military to do that job!!" Because, lets face it, the way they dealt with that disaster was more than just a little 'incompetent', and so the thought that it was done on purpose should not be ignored.

Anyways, its good to hear that there are pending indictments for Bush and Cheney, lets hope Wolfowitz and Ol' Donald are not overlooked, and that this is more than rumour.

Another piece of good news that I recently heard was that the Bush administration pledged to veto legislation banning the torture of prisoners by US troops. Talk about a give away, huh? hahahaha

I think you're crediting them with too much intelligence and subterfuge ability there. Think how logistically difficult (read impossible) it would be to deliberately undermine a major relief effort without being found out.
This is up there with 'fake moon landing' conspiracies.

Actually, they were found out, but as usual the regular media whitewashed it again.

Yes, well, that would indeed be though, and not something I'd suggest.

I was talking about the way the Gov dealt with relief efforts in responce to H.K., a different matter altogether, not with sending in a suicide squat.

And I think it is not that hard to mess up the relief efforts if you have the right people in the right places. All they'd have to do is provide orders that would ensure delay and chaos. For example, it has been established that police had to guard key infrastructures in order to defend them from FEMA federal agents. The later is only one of the many ways that FEMA succesfully sabotaged relief efforts.

there are lots of crazy people in this world who are going to take advantage of an sitation. While most people in Louisiana were stocking up on food, water, and other necessities; there were some people who were stocking up on weapons :mp5: to create a mob rule.

It's like I stated on the Communism Vs. Capitolism forum: "there will always be people who take advantage of the situation."

P.S. didn't mean to put the [up yours] smilie on the last post.

there are so many things that pop into my mind as soon as I click on the [submit reply] button.

so here is my newest thought: "the Liberal media wants to blame George W. for everything that goes wrong. The conservative media (Fox News ) tells it like it is; Hurricain K. hit Louisiana today and FEMA has sabotaged all relief efforts.
