They need to do better than that. We should already have biological anti-rape weapons, I'm talkin about if the guy makes penetration his penis is injected with some sort of super-VX like chemical that makes it have involuntary muscule spasms so intense that the fibers break down causing it to detatch itself from the body and decay at a rapid rate.

So a guy has a woman at his mercy, rapes her and gets needles into his penis. Then what? He still has the woman at his mercy, and now he's really pissed off. Thats much better.

I think changing the penalty for rape from jail time to physical castration without anesthesia would be more effective.

Pointing a gun at someone at pointblank range doesn't take much effort.

How exactly would it empower women and prevent rape?
Do they get a large flashing neon sign to carry with them warning any potential rapists that they've got this device in them? 'Cause it's not gonna prevent rape per se, it's just going to possibly help apprehend the rapist after the event.
Does the doctor think a woman telling a rapist that she's wearing this thing is going to stop him? I think all it'll do is make the rapist violate the woman with an object first to get it out, then rape her. Which is sooooo much better than 'just' rape itself. :rolleyes:

Only work if the rape is sexual and not a power thing. And as the over-whelming reason for rape is a power thing, I don't think the rapist would care too much about the consequences later. And of course if they did, they'll be more likely to murder the woman afterwards. That way, if caught they can argue the rape was actually consensual sex. Who's going to know otherwise?
