Bit of a problem here....See there are these two girls. Both extremely beautiful. I already agreed to go with one to the Homecoming dance as friends. The other girl I really like, and she really likes me. But I'm already going with the first one. All of my friends are practically pushing the second onto me. Uh... if the girl you said you'd go with is your friend, just tell her. She'll understand, find another date and you can go with the girl you like as more than a friend.

I was in almost the exact same situation at age 17, and I must agree. Going out with someone out of courtesy is worse than not going out with them at all. In the end you'll be viewed as the bigger asshole even if your intentions were noble. And it sucks to feel coerced into doing something. Damn the torpedos, go with your choice.

No. Someone did something like this to my sister once, and I can tell you that it is not okay. Go to the dance with the first one. If your friends are practically pushing the other one on you, as you say, then it can wait until after homecoming.

I'ts exactly wut happened on an old "Degrassi" episode but in the episode he doesn't choose the 1st one, the friend, finds out and lets him go with the second one.
