Yep, this guy made over a million dollars selling prosthetic dog nuts for neutered pets and now he's won an award from Harvard University.

The product's Web site says Neuticles allow a pet "to retain his natural look" and "self esteem."
Somehow I dont think self esteem and self image are as important to dogs as they are to people.but im not an animal pyschologist

I've come to expect no better from capitalism. Still, it's a shame. That effort could have been better used.

To say "award from Harvard University" is a bit misleading when that award is an Ig Nobel. It's a bit like saying that someone was given an award by the respected Penguin Publishing company, and it turns out to be a Darwing Award. ;)

Still, I'm always amused, and often chagrined at some of the rediculous things that make people rich. It sort of puts the lie to the idea that people who make a lot of money always do so by making a great contribution to society.
