One of the great comedy icons of the twentieth century gone! A true shame.

This truly is a sad day for British comedy :( ...but I don't want the TV stations to use it as an excuse to show the 'Fork handles' sketch over and over and over again.

Nothing is good the 589093358203456374901st time you've seen it.
He wasn't just a great comic actor, most of the acting in some of the more serious scenes in Porridge is very good.

I still laugh when I think of Ronnie Corbet going into the hardware shop asking Ronnie barker for Fork Handles, when what he really wanted was four candles!
Barkers word play was fantastic, he will be sadly missed.
