i think this belongs in moderation if you want rid of it.
that was always here, the idea is to stop flooding.why do you want to get rid of it?(this is me trying vainly to turn this into a discussion)

i think a thirty second limit is a good idea. 1 it stops the topic flooding, 2. it makes the person posting have time to think about what they shall post so they dont put something they will later regret.

I usually get this if I accidently attempt a double post, not realizing that my first post went through.

It's been around for a long time. It's so people can't post-whore.
I'm so glad they got rid of nested quote tags too ... quote pyramids suck.

Thirty seconds is not that long. If you are somehow managing to post several times in a minute, then you are either adding nothing to a thread or you are just copying and pasting stuff. This timer gives you a slight nudge into making fuller and more complete posts.

Or... you have a long series of posts planned out, and it makes it a bit of a pain in the ass to post. The damn profiles, even if I was all planned out would take over 20 min to all post. ;)
But yeah, 30 sec isn't really that long. In normal circumstances it shouldn't be something to complain about.

considering the post count you have there i believe you have done very well to only get banned three times, some issues raised round here are on very touchy subjects.
I haven't been banned once I don't think :D

are you suggesting that one cannot debate "touchy" subjects in a civil manner that will keep you from being banned? in that case, i beg to differ.
I haven't been banned once I don't think :D
Nor have I, and I have even more posts — and more spam — to my name.

and it's not like you're exactly keeping out of the touchy ones..
and who says you'd ever spam?!
btw i have to say that the only times i got that 30-secons message was when i was about to double-post because i though hitting the post-button hadn't worked the 1st time.

WTF! When did we get this? GET RID OF IT!I usually don't post within thirty seconds of my last one, so it doesn't really bother me.

It bothers me if I'm posting on one thread then post in another.
I have a tendency to have 8-9 threads open, and so I keep getting hit with this 30 second post timer.
