Physical Perfection for a Price

Ok, what if I told you I had a pill that could make you "Physical Perfect" for 10 years. You would be the Perfect Jock/Supermodel/Bodybuilder/Athlete of "YOUR" chousing. BUT, you will die 10 years form taking the pill. Painless Death but death none the less.

Would you take that Pill for 10 years of Physical Perfection. No sickness and the body you have always wanted.

Would you take that pill?

NOTE: I want if you the person would. I am not speaking of people that are suffering from life threating diseases, failing health, crippled, etc. This is a question for Perfectly Health People.

I am curious to see how we would vote.

hmm..... a definetinly hard question. considering the fact that you'll get much more in life from taking the pill. But you'll die ten years after taking the pill. I'd take the pill. Id get much more out of those 10 years in taking the pill than in the rest of my life if i didn't take the pill. Reason is: PEOPLE ARE SHALLOW!

Only if I was 70. Not only am I given the ability to live 10 years longer, guaranteed, but I also get to live it with a body of a god :D

No. I'm working out and playing sports more than 15 hours a week, and unlike your imaginary pill, it yields not only short term, but also long term benefits in the terms of body stature and health.

For the briefest of moments, I actually considered whether or not, if taking this pill, I could have a concievable chance at runway modeling rather than just catalogue, because it's hard to get into that "overweight" runway category (5'7", 135 lbs.....kiss my ass, high fashion  ). Then I remembered, as my boyfriend affectionately patted my tummy, that part of my marketability and overall charm is that I'm absolutely un-augmented.

However, if I were going to trophy-wife it up, I might do it. God knows I could spend a ton of money in 10 years.

I don't think i would.for one physical perfection isn't that appealing to me,for another i'm only 17,i dont want to die at 27.

it never said you were definately going to live for 10 years.the pill makes you physically perfect, then kills you.doesnt mean nothing else will

Hmm, I could be a superhero, Anarcho-Man, and I would fight corrupt CEOs as I desperately do everything I can before my 10 years runs out and I finish things off with a deal with Bush or maybe Kim Jong-Il.

No amount of exercise can change your face.
As the saying goes, “I may be fat, but you’re ugly. I can lose the weight.”
I’m not sure if I’d take the pill or not. Would a significantly shortened life be a fair price to pay for unmerited appreciation of my sheer assholeness?

If I was 40, though, then I'd take the pill without question.

I think you'd have to be pretty shallow to take such a pill.

Maybe I AM perfect... depends on your definition of perfect. I certainly wouldn't change anything.

Maybe I'm just comfortable with being the person I have turned out to be?

I wouldn't, because

a) I'm immortal and ageless, and who wants to die?
b) I can change my appearance at will anyway;
c) I can't simulate perfection because I am perfect already.

I wouldn't take the pill, as I'm planning on living until at least 50 - and I'm not even half way there yet. Those 10 years would be an utter waste on me, as I don't give a damn about my physical qualities. The only benefit I can see that I don't already enjoy would be hot sex with shallow women. Maybe if I were a decrepit old geezer the pill would be worth the price.

Sure, I would take it...on my 75th birthday :).

This reminds me of a story I once read: Imagine that there is a drug that could make you live forever, in perfect health. You would also be highly resistent to diseases, and able to recover from virtually any injury. There's just a few catches. First and foremost, you have a 50% chance of dying when you first take the drug. That is, half the people who take it will die, but the other half will live on in perfect health and youth. In addition, if you are part of the 50% who survive, you will be sterile. Third, any person you have sex with will be "infected" with your condition, so they will face a 50% chance of death and a 50% chance of living in perfect health (asside from being sterile). So, do you take the drug?

I would take it without a second thought, if I didn't intend to raise children, as it wouldn't be fair to go off dying while your kids are growing up. But, as they say, the candle that burns at both ends burns twice as bright.

Nah, I'm content how I am. Everybody is someone's idea of perfection.

However, this pill could be pretty beneficial in the long run - it'd kill off the most shallow and pathetic specimens of humanity :D

Ah but that is the point of my question. This world IS shallow and only into looks. I want to see how many are Honest. Now if you are happy with your life that is awesome. But I know that IF this pill did exist there would be alot of dead people in 10 years.

Just wanted to get some thoughts on it.

So far I am loving this.

Nope, I wouldn't take the pill. alot of living can be done in 10 yrs. but alot more can be done with the rest of your life.

besides, looks are not what I'm looking for, I want someone who will accept me for me and someone I can accept them for them. pure mental/spiritual/intellectual compatability. when I find that person, the pill will become even more worthless to me.

1. Perfection is a human construct of today's culture. It was created; it can be destroyed. It can also be disregarded.

2. My regret of a self-imposed death sentence would be unbearable.

3. Perfection is boring. Life is much more interesting without it.

SOME of the world is shallow... I think (hope) that a lot of people have realised your EXTERIOR can never make your INTERIOR happy... you just have to 'be happy' with what you've got.

Also - since 'perfect looks' are a fad... they change with time.. such a pill would be a curse. To look 'perfect' today, might be to be the freak in a year's time.

So the question that progresses from this is what would you have to be given in exchange for all but ten of the years remaining in your life.

I would take it without hesitation.

10 years to live. 27 at death. I would hurry up with school, then go into the real army, signing up for special forces, volunteering for the most badass work there is.

If I lived to see 23, I would spend the last 4 yeard of my life having as much fun as I could(use the money I make over 6 years of military service, start up some sort of buisness using it as investment money, probably one that features me as a selling point). I would live life to its fullest.

Much better than the slow death I'm going through now.
