Give us your worst break up stories please.
For four years my bf and I have been together, recently however he has become more and more paranoid. I have recently acquired some new friends from work, we go out after we finish work on Saturday nights sometimes. My BF was planning on going out one night we were and asked if he could join us. "Sure," I said, "If you want to." Big mistake. Apparently that means, "I'm ashamed of you and I don't want the people I work with to meet you," or "I'm cheating on you." Apparently it can't mean, "come as long as you're not going to sit silently in the corner feeling akward." I'm not cheating, and most of them, despite having not met him know his name incidentally.
Now, had this been the first time I had been accused of cheating I probably would have let it slide. Had this been the fifth time he accused me of cheating I probably would have let it slide, but alas it wasn't and I felt severly wounded for his lack of trust. He then stomped out the door to work.
Sixteen hours later, after stewing in my own anger all day at work, I come home to find him waiting up for me, "Hi Pet," he smiles at me as I walk in the door. I gave at him stonily and rush out the back to the bathroom to change. I return and sit, turn to look at him and say, "Pet, we need to talk. You don't trust me, you never have and you still don't. You can't have a relationship without trust, therefore we're not in a relationship.
We both continued for the next two and a half hours, alternating between crying and shouting until we both realised that neither of us wanted to end it then went to bed as he works early and I had kept him up.
Now I feel like such an asshole for trying to break up with him.
Admittedly this is an attempted break up story, but share with us your worst break up story please.
