Is anyone here a member of an advocacy group or anything?

I'm interested in hearing what kinds of causes NS forum posters are behind. I know I'm a rabid conservative, but I'm going to refrain from judging anybody in this thread, since I'm the one asking anyway.
I'm not currently in any group myself, but I'm thinking about starting a Palestinian advocacy group at my college — Widener University, in Chester, PA.

There are people here who will advocate pretty much anything you wish. And twice as many to oppose it. So let me be the first to oppose your Palestinian advocacy group. GO MOSSAD!!!! :mp5: :sniper:

I am strongly opposed to "groups" of any sort. I also refuse to "join in" or "get in the spirit of things".

You're sure to make some liberal friends there.. might be lonely if you're not looking for that crowd..
Anyhow.. I'm not in any conservative groups, although I probably should be... then again, in California, what's there to do? Meh. More time for sleep. :)

Oh, I belong to all the anti-groups. Which I guess are kinda groups in and of themselves, so I haven't figured out how to oppose groups that I am in merely to oppose other groups. It gets kind of confusing.
But seriously, I am a pro-Israel, pro-U.S. (most of the time), anti-church libertarian. I have a side picked on any other issue you want too. :D

As an employee of the local (county) government, I am a member of a labor union - the local Public Employees' union.
Aside from that, I may have a few stamps from the local taqueria toward my next burrito.
Do I count? What do you want to know?

As a member of the National Space Society(albeit lapsed! ^_^; ) I'm part of a group that advocates the creation of a spacefaring society.

I had a short stint working for the National Fraud Information Center. That has really become something I have been interested in. I'm a moderate conservative so I tend to identify with republicans more then democrats.

(or herself, of course)
So, who said that quote?

Ooh! Almost forgot! I'm an NRA member.. Yeah. :)
Admission to the gun show was 12$, or free if you signed up with the NRA, which, for a few bucks more, came with a year's magazine subscription and cap! Can't beat that.

"A person shouldn't believe in an 'ism', a person should believe in himself" was originally spoken by.....Ferris Bueller! Common people, I know everyone in the english speaking world has seen that movie.

i was just about to tell you that! well now i'll be all sulky all day for your not letting me solve it. beh.
as for the original question: i'd call neither an advocacy group, but in my free time i work for both an international student exchange organisation and an organisation counselling young GLBT folks if they experience any kind of trouble because of their orientation.
