"WWII Germany is what you get when you combine a great millitary policy, with a bad economic policy, and easily the world's worst domestic, social, and civilian policy."
Guess who said that...
Can you?

Anyone who has any idea of what happened during the WWII. It is rather accurate, although the German military policies went to hell once Hitler began replacing his generals with yes-men and invaded the USSR.

Err.. Bill Clinton?
Edit: I don't think that the military policy was all that great either.
Guess who said that...

WWII Germany had a fantastic military and one of the most charismatic leaders in history. You think things could have gone down the way they did if EITHER of those claims weren't true?

Godwin's law (roughly,) states that bringing up Nazi Germany as a comparison to anything is either so unwarranted or so prejudicial that it cannot be considered a proper debate technique or topic. The person who brings it up is automatically considered the "loser" of the debate/discussion.
To "Godwin" is to invoke Godwin's law.

The I say to hell with Godwin's Law.
Nothing can quite compare Nazi Germany with anywhere else, even since.
However, correlations and similarites can be found, even in modern America.

A second part to that law states that intentionally invoking Godwin's law to kill a thread never works.
