The "top" ten bands have been placed on the poll, which will be open for one week.

The "winner" will be officially known as the worst band ever.

What's funny is, if you combine all 10 of the above mentioned bands, you get System of a Down ... the worst band ever.

However, in the spirit of polling, I shall vote.

System of a Down was nominated in the old thread, however, nobody seconded the nomination, so it didn't make it to this poll.

Green Day made it because the last two people to make nominations nominated Green Day, which bumped it from off of the list into the top ten, so it's on there.

I'm gonna have to jump all over this thread.

Personally, I don't believe ICP should be on this list. Only some of their songs are good ("In my Room", "Fuck the World", "My Axe") but they're hilarious. Which makes them not bad at the very least.

Good Charlotte is not punk rock. And Green Day isn't anymore either. Nor is Blink182. Punk is dead. Bands like Not By Choice and Simple Plan killed it.

Also, SOAD is one of the most talented bands in music today. They are also very unique; no band sounds like System, they are nearly a genre of their own.

As for the poll, Maroon 5 baby. Oh, how pre-fab pop bullshit errodes the brain and makes the ears gush blood like a raver at a Slipknot concert.

I admit to owning a copy of international superhits. I wouldn't call them punk, but I still enjoy listening to it from time to time.

Pretty much all of the groups on the list annoy me. ICP make me laugh, though. I never fully understood the rage it inspires when I discreetly put a CD on at a house party and slip away unnoticed, when I can't stop laughing.

Greenday's best music came out in the 90's, anything after that is whiney political garbage imo.

Btw I love System of a Down so I guess it's just a matter of opinion.

Funny, since both of those bands are hardly Punk Rock (Green Day used to be... back in the late 80's - early 90's).

Anyway, my vote's going for Maroon 5. Absolute shit all over --- The way they started, the way they perform, the singer's voice, their "music"... Ugh.

It's called the Big Day Out - tours every major city in Australia and New Zealand.

The year before that, Metallica headlined. At the very first BDO, Nirvana were the attraction.

Considering past lineups, it was a pretty poor decision. I wasn't there to see Slipknot, though. I was there mostly to see Spiderbait and SOAD...but the Hives were the surprise hit of the day.

I need more than one vote. Hanson got it though. I'd vote for all of them there except Blink and GC (I'm too weak...Pop punk has crept into my metal playlist).

I can't belive Aqua has so little votes, i'd rather loop any of the other bands all day before i listened to an Aqua song

A few years ago some music magazine chose ICP as the worst band ever.

I voted for Insane Clown Posse, it was a close tie with Maroon 5 and Good Charlotte and perhaps Hanson on the grounds of I believe in ethnical cleanseing of all damn boy bands!
Why Ohio Express and the jackasses KC and the Sunshine Band who wrote 'Jungle Boogie' missed the list must be a generational thing.

Also, would you not agree that the general state of music has been in decline for a number of decades? Such a fact actually lends to the argument that the worst band ever must be a newer band.

If I limited the nominations to what could reasonably be considered a "band", then basically the entire rap, pop, and part of the country genre would be excluded.
