The general seems to be a decent, caring, take-charge, no-BS type of guy - which I like.
On the other hand, he made a quote on CNN the other day that would come back and haunt him big-time if he ran for office. When talking about this very same issue his comment was that he "needed some big-brain people to figure out what to do about it."
Can you see the ads by his opponents?
Clip of someone asking him about the budget. Cut to him wanting some big-brain people to figure it out.
Clip of someone asking him about foreign policy. Cut to him wanting some big-brain people to figure it out.
etc.
The slogan at the end? Something like: Please elect someone who CAN figure it out by themselves.....
It wouldn't be pretty, but it WOULD be effective. and you know darn well that either party WOUD sink that low.
And the funniest part about that clip that I had seen? When CNN talked about the cattle they then cut to a clip to show the poor critters, at which point a bull clambered onto a heffer and started pounding away.
At which point I figured that it really didn't want to be rescued for a few more minutes....
