The answer to this problem may be obvious to some of you, but I'm not smart and this sort of math problem is annoying the hell out of me. I need an answer soon so I can finish a physics assignment.
How do you calculate the uncertainty in a ratio.
For example, (1 +/- 0.5)/(2 +/- 0.4). What is the uncertainty in the resulting ratio.
