for bright hair colours?
for wearing miniskirts?
for playing on the swingset in a public playground?
to ignore responsabilities for weeks on end?

Seriously... what is the cut off for those things?

It varies from person to person. If you are 40 and can still pull it off, I see no reason to stop.

As a matter of taste? It varies:

Bright hair color: I personally can’t stand it at any age.
Miniskirts: When one has Varicose veins and/or cellulite.
Swing sets: When one is too heavy for said swings.
Ignoring Responsibility: Depends on the responsibility, but generally this kind of behavior is only acceptable for those under twelve.

For the first three, I'd say there is and should be no age limit...

For the fourth, right around five years old. Handling basic responsibilities is part of being a human being. If you're not gonna feed and clean up after the goldfish / hamster / whatever, you shouldn't have it (for example)... It doesn't deserve to starve to death or live in it's own filth because some mal-formed human can't learn the most basic lesson of empathy.

I didn't mean that sort of responsability... pets are easy.

I meant like real responsability... like is there an age where taking a weekend to just let the house get messy and you do fuck all but sit about and play video games or read or draw or go on a bender or whatever (all the while feeding the pets) is considered sad.

I don't think I've had anyone try to look up my skirt.

I'm told I'm intimidating though... I get looks but I don't think anyone has the guts/is pervy enough to actually try...

I'm studying physics. They don't give us that sort of free time. :(
Though since the registrar fucked up the schedule in such a way that I can't finish in one year, I'm taking two relaxed years. (i.e. a lot fewer required classes and more electives) so maybe I'll have more time to goof off.

Oh! Well, in that case, it goes right into category one with the others!

There is absolutely no age where it isn't ok - no, much better than just "ok" - to blow off everything (that doesn't hurt others) and have a "personal day".

If the only thing wrong with something is that it makes Mrs. Grundy wrinkle her nose and say "oh, grow up!" then you can be assured that it's a "good thing", and keep right on doing it (in moderation, at least). ;-)

I'm certainly not "Mrs. Grundy," but I seriously believe that anyone over the age of about 16/17 who dyes their hair some wild color simply looks immature. And a woman who has neither the figure nor the face to compliment a miniskirt, regardless of her age, simply looks ridiculous. ( shrug )

I disagree with the former point (I see no reason blue hair should be limited to girls under 16 or over 60) and agree fully with the latter... But that doesn't alter that I think, if it makes them happy , they should rock right on wit' it.

In this modern world, if the worst thing that happens to me today is seeing a 240#, 56 yr old man in a mini-skirt, I'm going to think I'm getting off pretty light. ;-)

(1) for bright hair colours? While it still looks good

(2) for wearing miniskirts? Pretty much the same lol

(3)for playing on the swingset in a public playground? There's no age at which you should sotp this. Everyone should do it as often as possible - preferably in a reckless and potentially hazardous way :D it's much more fun.

(4) to ignore responsabilities for weeks on end? Again you should always try for this. Remember 'never put off till tomorow what can conceivably be left until the day after' :D

Woot!

Man, I can't wait until I'm done school so I can do that for my time off. :D

Actually, I did that way more during Uni than I do now that I have a career. I still have Do-N0-Housework weekends often, but only because I make it a point of doing at least 1/2 an hour of housework each weeknight.

At 31, and often working long, tiring shifts, I find myself less inclined to do-nothing weekends. I value my free time far too much to waste it. But I do still put life on hold for a couple days on the weekend every now and again to recharge.

As for:
Brightly Dyed Hair: If you're in the music or art bussiness, there is no age limit. Everyone else just looks stupid with dyed hair once they hit 30 or so.
Miniskirts: 30. After that, a miniskirt says COUGAR.
Playing on the Swing Set: Never turn down the chance to play and/or be playful. There is no age limit on playing and having fun. Who cares what others think of you for playing on the swing set. They were probably spoil-sports when they were kids too. No one needs em.

Bright hair colours - if it's natural, obviously keep it. Fake dye looks silly, and dark hair's better anyway. :p
Miniskirts - don't wear 'em.
Swings - not sure. Kids are a good excuse, or younger siblings.
Ignoring responsibilities - ideally never, or when you start secondary school.

Coloured Hair, Never, I'm twenty twelve and my mohawk stays (I do not work in a record store I work in IT for a Govt Org.) it is as expressive as my tie colour.

Miniskirts never really worn them and I prefer Long skirts/dresses on lasses leaves more to the imagination, what age is too young for parents to dress their young daughters in minis and crop tops though

Swings roundabouts and slides, till you croak you are never to old to play

Ignoring resposibilities, well I will aswer that another day.

Do what you wish for as long as you like.

Being a boy, I never really got into the whole 'miniskirt' thing... it just wouldn't have worked with these hips.

But, I was still wearing a latex open-side skirt over PVC bondage-jeans till I was in my late 20's....

another important cut-off point for miniskirts is this:

size

as in, "how big is too big?"

works for bathing suits too.

for bright hair colours? No age is too old. Pink takes better to gray/white hair anyway. Seriously, bright colours look good on smiling, happy people. There is no age cut-off.

for wearing miniskirts? There is such a thing as too ugly for miniskirts (sorry, but it's true). You can also be too fat (again, it's not fair, but it's true). You cannot be too old to wear a miniskirt. Hot people of all ages are allowed.

for playing on the swingset in a public playground?Everyone should play on swingsets every chance they get (except when drunk; that's not pretty).
