This is my first year doing this and I'm pretty excited, just wondering if anyone else is doing the same thing. Is there anybody out there who is a) in high school and b) going to Model European Parliament and/or The Hague Internation Model United Nations?

I've been to THIMUN in 2001 and 2002.

I went to a UN youth conference once, and did a model UN thing there. I got stuck as Rwanda...yay. So I passed the time by sending naughty messages to the girl playing America. And then I got in trouble.

This was a completely unrelated post. Carry on.

I'm a member of the United Nations Youth Association of New Zealand (UNYANZ) and we send a delegation to Thimun every year. They always come back with stories of extreme drunkeness, throwing up on trams, people offering them parts in porn movies etc.

I've never been (I'm too old now, we send highschool kids) but I've done 2 National MUNs a regional one and a regional Security council, so I know how the whole show works.

It's more the fun of the people I do UNYANZ things with than the actual events that makes it fun ;)

We'd pass notes via admin staff saying things like: "I disagree completely. But what do you think of striking clause 5 a) in the 'Save plastic for children in southern Botswana' resolution?". If you scored a hit, the other person had to agree with your proposition. :D
