This is like the only regular (tv/radio) news source that caters
to pacifists and those that do not believe in war.

Hundreds of thousands rallied around the world Saturday to call for President Bush to bring troops home from Iraq. In Washington DC, between one and three hundred thousand gathered for the city's largest anti-war demonstration since the Vietnam War. Thousands more marched in London, Copenhagen, Damascus, Helsinki, Paris, Rome, Seoul, Toronto, San Francisco, Los Angeles and other cities and towns.

It seems to me a little fruitless. I mean is George Bush going to turn around and go,

"gee this war thing is reallly unpopular, hell I don't know why I thought of it in the first place!"

No, he probably will not, but it's important to be seen and to let lawmakers know there is a sizeable and growing number of voters in this country who feel this action is unjustified. Bush will never change his mind. Congressmen might.

And, again, 300,000 is probably high. Police put the numbers at around 100,000, and bless "Democracy Now"s heart, they're not exactly what one would call an unbiased source.
