Revised Bush Doctrine:
Or at least the TGMD-Doctrine, The Bush Doctrine inspired me...
The United States shall setup an alliance of democratic nations, and shall be war, destroy any nation that abuses, or has many human rights violations(i.e. dictatorships genocides). And any government that does not allow its people the right of self-determination the US gov(and its allies) shall not trade with or have any diplomatic relations with such nation, and if their bad war.
So what do you think of my little plan? (I know its a bit simplistic but I want to save space)?
1. you're crazy
2. Go ahead start a war just don't draft me
3. Yeah lets get them!
4. Better yet lets forceable annex them into the US!
No one cares enough about my plans to even comment on them.............

Minor problem with the plan, a problem that Bush, and his people already considered: can't be everywhere and do everything.
No government allows its people the right of self-determination! I mean, they do, but they all have clear limitations that you will see straight away anywhere.

The United States shall setup an alliance of democratic nations
Does it include Saudi Arabia?
and shall be war, destroy any nation that abuses, or has many human rights violations(i.e. dictatorships genocides).
Does it include Saudi Arabia?

Does it include Saudi Arabia... and Europe?
So what do you think of my little plan? (I know its a bit simplistic but I want to save space)?

I think the Bush/TGMD doctrine has not been applied yet.

Your doctrine works just fine in real life, with a little modification. The main difference is that the US sides with anyone who'll buy things off them, while claiming to follow exactly that doctrine. When people say unhelpful things, like "Saudi Arabia is repressive and brutal" or "what about all the dictatorships in Africa", just yell "Terrorism!" and raise the alert level.

I like the idea of annexing the world. Of course, I only would like that idea if I was president--- soon to be dictator. Stop looking at me!

You should sue the thread author. It's what any right-minded person would do. ;)

The USA is the most logical nation to take over the world, either through war or union as states.
The USA is the only nation that has immigrants and descendants of immigrants from every nation or region in the world.
It could govern the world with these immigrants and descendants of immigrants.
Yes even Cuba.
The USA a predominantly European origin nation after World War II, even more so then than now, could have taken over Western Europe and made them US states and yet they did not.
Could have governed Western Europe with US European immigrants and descendants of immigrants and reached out to thier white European cousins.
Naturally that would have started a war with Russia at the time, but a war the USA could have won.

Nope. Two or three nukes don't win a war. In 1945 the Red Army was the greatest, and most experienced, army on the planet.
It had millions and millions of men standing in Germany. The Allies had maybe three.
The USSR's industry was running on full capacity, probably producing as much as the US did, and could throw it right into the fray. Without a second front to worry about, the Allies would've been driven into the sea in less than six months, leaving the USSR free to take the middle east, Africa, China (with help from Mao etc) and India.
And invasion would then have been impossible for the US, and a blockade worthless.
