Growing up in the excellent 80s there were a lot of teen movies. Which ones effected you the most? I was really effected by The Breakfast Club; Sixteen Candles and The Rivers Edge. How about you?

I'm disappointed in you, you didn't have Ferris Bueller's Day Off as one of the main choices.

Any film with the brat pack in...

...deserves never to see the light of day again. The '80s definietly represents an entire decade of marketing over substance i the teen genre

or so i'm told. :p

Accept for Suburbia I don't think those other two were actually about teenagers.

That's right I totally forgot about Ferris Bueller and Better of Dead. Both excellent choices.
Now for the most important question for the guys (well gals if you want to), who would you rather sleep with from those movies: Molly Ringwald; Ally Sheedy; Hot blonde from Sixteen Candles; etc.
I'd have to go for Ally Sheedy. Demi Moore if she was one of the brat pack. :p

I was born too late in the 80s to have seen any of those when they came out, but I have seen Sixteen Candles & The Breakfast Club. I like The Breakfast Club, even though I am not fond of the fact that the wierd girl changed. It didn't have any effect on me, though.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off = love.

Demi Moore is/was one of the bratpack. St. Elmo's Fire, About Last Night, One Crazy Summer ... definately a brat packer.

However, of the bunch from various 80s flicks, I'm gonna have to go with Mary Stuart Masterson on my "to do" list.

Well, I was an '83 kid, but I am addicted to 80's teen movies.

In order of importance:

Breakfast Club (want a copy in Australia, but can't get one dammit :headbang: ). I am in love with Judd Nelson because of this movie. Plan to use it in all my future English teaching.

Heathers (same problem :headbang: )

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure!!! I learnt all my history from that damn movie! :p

All I can say to that list is: I graduated high school in 1986 and there are 4 movies on the list I've never heard of...

Out of the one's on the list, Fast Times or Breakfast Club. But Better Off Dead, Risky Business, Bill and Ted, Ferris Beuller, Rumble Fish, Outsiders, Weird Science, Lost Boys, and Footloose were all good.

I don't think Light of Day or Stand by Me have been mentioned. The later is really the only one that I think has stood the tests of time well....
