You have GOT to be kidding me...I mean, I knew Americans where strange but arming dolphins? Whats next, suicide squirrel bombers?
I've heard before that the US attempted to train attack dolphins in the Cold War, but I've also seen this story a few months ago without the Katrina elements.
We've actually been training "war dolphins" for quite a while now. I thought they were mostly for reconaissance, but I guess I was wrong.

Well, the Russians tried using dogs with bombs tied to them to blow up Nazi tanks. It worked, but the dogs also ran under Russian tanks too.

What makes you think they'll use the weapons? Smart money is that they'll trade it to some Romanian arms dealer for a couple of crates full of tuna. Dolphins are smarter than your average joe after all. :p

Well, it's not like the dogs can distinguish between a German or Russian tank with either the sound or smell now can it? The deadliest type of fetch to date :p
The dogs could actually tell by looking at the tanks, however the problem was that they had been trained by being fed under Soviet tanks, and thus when it came to the crunch ran for them instead of the Axis ones.
