Do you hardball?

Considering how many of us are nuts about guns and military hardware, I'd be surprised if there weren't at least some NSers who play in airsoft/airsoftgun/hardball teams.
Given the difficulty of acquiring and using real weapons in my country, I am considering buying manual/airsoft and electric hardball weapons and starting a team - Unfortunately, it is way too expensive for me as a student, so it will have to happen some time in the future.
However, I am still interested in hearing about it. Do you play hardball? If so, how good are facilities and organization of the sport in your nation? What weapons, equipment and/or customisations do you use?
Feel free to share your stories about playing hardball too.
Thanks,
NA.
This is what I get when I search for hard ball. by the context of your post number 2 is the most likly but since you refferd to PLAYING hard ball it is not correct. maybe you mean Paint ball or Airsoft but maybe not. could you enlighten me. :)
1. Hardball is a sports term used to distinguish baseball from its variant softball.
2. Hardball is a slang term used for full metal jacket pistol ammunition, particularly in .45 ACP caliber.
3. Playing hardball is a negotiation term used to describe an attitude of intransigence.
4. Hardball is a 2001 film.
5. Hardball is a series of computer games about baseball.
6. Hardball is a 1989 television series. [1]

You're all insane ;)
And this is what is known as airsoft elsewhere - Just because Wikipedia doesn't know about it doesn't mean that that it doesn't exist(in itself an erroneous term, because airsoft is in fact mainly played with gas or electric powered arms, not the air soft manual ones). In my nation and many others, airsoft is in fact known as hardball, named after the ammunition used.

Being that I am not A Mod, the answer is No. ;)

As one gets older one becomes more & more breakable. You young 'uns just get bruised. I'll stick with beer & softball, thank you very much.

I meant that in a nice way. If you can't take a little smoke, stay away from the gun.
Are there seriously no NS'ers who play hardball? Considering the amount of replies the topic about the UK ban on replica weapons got, I'm surprised.

I think this thread will take off - Givvit some time. The present back & forth banter is at least better than doing the ole' "Bump."

Heh, I suppose so. Have you ever played hardball, by the way? I suppose you could have, at one time.

I prefer paintball. Probably only because I discovered it first. It was a dramatic improvement over bb gun wars when I was a teenager. I still have a bb embedded in my knee. :p

The average speed of overhand thrown softballs is considerably higher than that of thrown hardballs. :p

I have played before. I knew a guy at school who owned a farm with an old set of out buildings which we used for a bit of urban combat. Very counter strike ish, as we used to have games with objectives (capture the flag etc)
We all got tooled up with a few springers (one shot, manual cocking) pistols, a couple of cheap fully auto SMGs. So much fun, until the buildings got rennovated :(
Still, its a great game to play, and less painful then paintball :D Although some of us go for that.... LG perhaps ;)
Although it will be banned in the UK soon, fecking Nanny State.

I have an airsoft pistol I use to teach my 5 year old son firearm safety. Other than that, if I want to go shooting, I take my pistol and rifle to the range, with some of my reloads. I shoot IDPA occaisionally, so i guess that's my "gaming with guns". Fun sport.

Hah! Join the frakkin' club! Especially since my mind was blown when informed I had cancer, I have had even more trouble focusing. :(

Oh, allright. Once I've stashed up some dough, I will go with Mauri's electric AK-47. Fantastic accuracy(twice as accurate as an actual AK-47. Fancy that ;)), and then I'll go with a tune up and 70 or 300 round magazine.

I gotta cheepo airsoft (mini MP5) and I'm think of getting http://www.shortyusa.com/cart/viewitem.html?II=809&UID=1127639606-64.228.1.177&OldLoc=/cart/listcategory.html&RID=1&NL=&CA=4&kiosk= as a starter gun, it's not great but it sounds decent for the price.

Does sound rather interesting, but seems very cheap for a functional, electric assault gun. I'd have gone with a Marui if I were you, but I suppose it's a steal if it's just as good.

I figured I can always get the Marui one if I like the sport and find people to play with. The cheeper one will do just fine plinking cans in my room and hanging on the wall. :)
