Was earth made for us, or were we made for earth?

Not a creationism/evolution debate, but a question for you to answer. Post comments if you like. I don't respond unless the grammar is sensible and the argument is valid.

How about this, we made Earth.

"Was earth made for us, or were we made for earth?"
Both.
Apparently we agree. Unless you didn't vote and someone else did.
We agree, but I think that the question is more complex than the one that you asked. It is not that we are here because water is here; there is water in other places in the universe where humans are not. We would not be here were it not for the prescence of water.

How about this, we made Earth.
That would make a good liscence plate, but it doesn't really answer my question. Humans can't have made the earth; the earth is much older than us. But everyone already knows that.
We made the earth ours.

What if we were once a highly advanced race and the Earth is not our true home world? What if our old world was invaded by a hostile alien species, was hit by an asteroid, or had befallen some other strange disaster.
We then created the world we now think of today as "Earth." And we created it and let it age. After all who would want to live on a brand new planet thats unstable with a toxic atmosphere?

That answers my question of how we made earth, I suppose. But, just replace the word Earth with the name of our original planet within the poll question, and your answer still boils down to insignificant.

Whats to say that we haven't been going through this process of, creation, and destruction for millions of years? Whats to say that there arent other humans on other worlds in the universe?

we belong to the earth, the earth does not belong to us ~some non-ego maniac
and,
while i'm not a vegetarian,
I would agree with this statement:
animals exist for their own reasons
the vast majority of human beings, like all but maybe 5,
would agree that just hacking up an animal because you
feel like it is immoral.

I'm not saying that's not plausible; I'm just telling you to ignore that and look at the ultimate beginning of the human race.

Neither. Earth simply is and humans adapted to it. It's not the same as saying humans were made for Earth, because Earth doesn't give a flying hoot about humans. And Earth wasn't made for humans because it was just there, and will continue to be there long after humans are gone.
