Does this make me a kleptomaniac?
Since there seem to be so many threads about IKEA (2), I decided to confess something to someone (you), when I went to IKEA last I was bored so I decided to take a pencil from each pencil dispencer in the store. Does this make me a klepto?
P.S. I managed to get ten.

No. I get as many as I can. It's only kleptomania if you theive things that one usually pays for, and you do it compulsivly.

misconception, noble man. allow me to say that cleptomaniacs are just defined by compulsive stealing, this does not necessariyl have to be things you ahve to pay for, but only things you know you're not supposed/allowed ot take. ikea pencils do not fall under this category as you're allowed to take bunches of them, but a clepto might e.g. also steal random things when being at someone else's house etc

but if you find yourself stealing things in the future for no "good" reason, you may be.

You are afraid of being different than everyone else, and you are alarmed at any sign of this. You are just being paranoid.
Chill, take a beer (or something if you can't drink beer), do something fun. It was only ten pencils. :p As said above, it's society's fault, and you should react to this by forming a gang and break whatever you can lay your hands on. :p

You stealing/rightfully taking 10 pencils is doing your bit to bring down the swedish superpower. Consider it payback for the millions of bad experiences people around the world have had with ikea and their overpriced yet shoddy and almost disposable products. I hate that place. Every item i've ever purchased has been a bigger mistake than the one before.
.....and another thing.....who on earth would think people appreciate a store that large. I always get half way and my short squirrel legs get tired, i can't turn back because i'd be fighting against the flow of the masses of other weary ikea pilgrimage makers (and going in the wrong direction to the arrows on the floor - heaven forbid). I am forced to push on, desperate for the salvation of the neon exit sign. And when i reach the peak? i have to pay for a bag to carry all that sh*t.
Ikea pencil theft --- reclaim your pain and haul a bounty.
