How do I find old threads?

At times I will be away from the forum for several days and when I return the threads I was reading are gone. How do I keep track of these threads?

Can't you subscribe to a thread if you want to keep track of it? Look under the tools menu.

Otherwise, the search engine works.....

Well, if you remember the title you can go to "Search" and put it in there.

Alternatively you can change the settings at the bottom of the "General" Screen to show threads that are older. But the list is going to become fairly long.

I'm only interested in tracking threads I've responded to. What I usually do is I repond to or create a new thread, like this one, then click on my name to see other posts that I've submitted. Is there a way to do this without having to make a new post everytime I log on to the forum?

1. Go to http://forums.jolt.co.uk/profile.php?do=editoptions
2. Scroll to: Default Thread Subscription Mode
3. Pick "no email notification"
4. Click "save changes" at the bottom

Now, whenever you go to your profile you will see the threads you posted in, starting from the moment you activated this.

My method, in this situation, would be to run a search on all posts made by myself.
It's a clunky method - the other suggestions above are quite a bit more hip.

Pretty much the first thing I do when I come onto the forums each day is search my name to see what's happening in the threads I posted in the day before..

For posts before the move to Jolt, I think you're screwed. Unless someone here has a bookmark to one of those threads (*hint hint*)- in which case the old search engine might be up.
