The Problem with up-coming game Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy for you Yanks)

It's TOO good.

No, seriously.

I really would like to play this game for real. Unfortunately, I don't think I can.

You see, the game is coming for PC, Ps2 and XBox, but not GameCube.

Which means I can only have a chance of playing it on my PC.

The problem starts when you realise I may not have the PC able to run it. I can play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas just fine (when I turn down the resolution), Max Payne 2 comes off as very slow in some places and Vampire: the Masquerade Bloodlines is either buggy to an unplayable point or just doesn't work, full-stop.

What to do, what to do...

Yeah some games require your pc to be a hoss. There are many mine can't run.

Most likely a slang for thoroughbred. In computer applications, probably a specialized gaming rig with very high specs.

Thanx 4 that, I can't keep up with these new-fangled net terms. :)

What does your PC have in it?

Bear in mind it's an adventure game, so framerates in the 60s might not be necessary.

The Gamecube (or lamecube as I've seen some people refer to it) strikes again! :p

Sucks...I recently upgraded after putting up with that for several years. Nothing can slow this one down....yet. :D

What does your PC have in it?

It can run The Sims 2 fine with some minor slowdown. It can't play True Crime because it doesn't have a sufficent graphics card, or something like that...

Have you SEEN the screenshots of this game?

The visuals look like smashing my PC into the ground if I try to play the game on it!

I haven't tried to get the demo, yet...

What's its requirements? Specs-wise, I mean?

but just so you know,

800MHz processor
256Mb RAM
32Mb graphics card
2.5Gb hard disk space

most computers from the last 5 years ought to be able to handle this, albeit on a low graphics setting.

Played it on the Xbox, finished it in 6 hours. a little disappointing, the only bonus being HMV have a 14 day no quibbles money back policy :D

Seriously...You NEED to try and get it. I've played it on the PS2, and it is very good.
