Any Kate Bush fans here?

As you might know, her first new album in 12 years has just been officially announced (mid-september). Yes, there've been rumors of it for about two years, but now it's got an official announcement- if I were a real fan there'd be a bit more sarcasm there.

BBC Radio (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/bruce/) is playing the single from her up-and-coming album about 9:30 AM local on Wensday- I think that's 3:30 Eastern Standard. So, if you're gonna be up anyway (like myself), you might as well. Get a chance to see if it's actually any good, or (like the last one) it starts out good with her and then Prince takes over and it sounds overproduced.

First, I apologize for the late announcement-almost no-one will get to use this.

Second, I'm only a moderate fan, I'm gonna be up in an hour anyway. I ran into her with "Running up that Hill" from the Left of the Dial box set- an Xmas gift and haven't bought or downloaded anything. But, I'm a webradio addict when I'm on any computer but mine, and my favorite (Yahoo launchcast (http://launch.yahoo.com/)) seems to have fan stations for every possible album- a great way to sample her work. Yes, I'm pushing it on you, and not because I'm sponsored in any way by this free service of unimaginable purpose. I have not sold out to any companies which provide our community with an invaluable service in very moral ways. I am not helping my own legal or financial situation by this advertisement.

Her and Roger Waters. Ça Ira is to be released at the end of this month, but his new studio album? - I doubt we'll see it before 2007.

I wonder if there's any correlation that The Ninth Wave is one of the very few albums which stands shoulder-to-shoulder with The Final Cut?

Sorry to be brutally honest, but I preferred the Within Temptation version of Running up that Hill...

I'm reminded of Peter Gabriel's Digging in the Dirt sans chorus - no real melodic hook, but the production's quite lush. Definitely something that'd benefit from better fidelity than a webcast.

Two months until the album?

I declare it to be "pretty good." Not spectacular, not lifechanging, but worth a listen.

For those who wake up and take a look at this, the show'll be archived on the first link in my OP for a week (Until 9/28/05) on Ken Bruce's show, around 10:10 AM (Guess that's 40 minutes into the show)- "King of the Mountain" is the name of the single.

I liked The Futureheads version of 'Hounds of Love', does that make me a fan?
