Extremism

Seems like a terribly subjective word at times. Apparently it's what I and Al Qaeda have in common. We're both extremists. Why? Because we both want to bring around extreme social change. However Al Qaeda wants a different society than my envisaged one. It wants to kill all infidels (whom they deem to be so) and institutionalise a Islam dominated empire. However I want to bring about a society that protects the environment, eliminates the gap between the poor and the rich and takes a pasifistic approach to foreign policy. Just thought I'd raise that point to make you think about what "extremism" is in this society. It's not always the guys who fly planes into economic and military headquarters.

I was watching Law and Order the other day and according to them I am a religious extremist. :( They said that the definition was anyone who thought thier religion is right and others are wrong. (That's me)

Before anyone flames me I do think that everyone should have the right to practice thier own religion (or non-religion) I do believe wholeheartedly in the seperation of church and state.

Like I said, it's terribly subjective.
