Does Santana Sing???
does Carlos Santana ever sing? I really like his music, and i must say, he has the best featured artists around, but I don't think i've ever heard him sing at all. Does he ever sing?

He has a tendency to move his lips in time with hitting certain notes... but I don't honestly remember seeing him standing around a microphone stand while he plays...

Nope, he sings as well.
Quick check of the few Santana records I own... credited with vocals on the LPs 'The Swing Of Delight' and 'Oneness'. Probably also sings on the 'Moonflower' and 'Love Devotion Surrender' LPs.

*snip*
or not, it appears Grampus has changed his mind
Nah: I had just made a slight mistake in the which exact track he can be heard doing lead vocals on: try Your Touch off the Milagro LP.
he sounds quite quite spanish. as can be expected
Santana is a very overrated guitarist IMO.

Go back to the early days of Santana (Woodstock, Abraxas, etc) and yes, he sang the album tracks.
But I would agree that letting somone else do the singing for him was the best move he ever made in his career.
