Imagine the candidate you were going to vote for suddenly, unexpectedly died just before election day, and neither his name, nor that of anyone else the party you were going to vote for even appeared on the ballot. Who would be your next choice?
I'm a liberal, and my second choice would most definitely be the NDP.

I'd be voting NDP, so my second choice would probably be Liberal, though I might consider a Marxist candidate if there was one locally. You know, depending whether I was leaning Left or Right that day.

I really don't like the Green Party at all because they are not very left at all in Canada like in other countries so I consider them purposefully misleading to people. Their leadership is actually made up of former conservatives. And credibility and organization are huge issues.
Say what you will about the Liberals but you know what you will get.
Considering the way things stand right now... as long as Dubya is president of the US of A I can't see the Conservatives in Canada, having much of a future as far as winning any elections is concerned, particularly when one of their main program is bringing Canada closer with American foreign policy. *puke* I'd rather go live in Scandinavia.
Frankly I'm proud that the Liberals, and the all the Canadian left wing parties continue to ruffle feathers over down south, by disagreeing constantly with them. The neo-cons and the PNAC are leading america down a very dark path, and Canada should most definitely continue to stay away.

Green first, NDP second.

Who would be your next choice?Heh, that wouldn't happen in Germany since we have laws that give the parties more time to set up a new candidate if something like that happens (And that's exactly what happened in Dresden this election).

*CanuckHeaven places props around Dobbs to keep him from leaning too far left.

Given no other option, NDP first, Libs second.
Though realistically speaking, this would never happen. The same would happen as what recently happened in Dresden and we'd put that riding off for a short while till a new candidate is made available. Anything other would be terribly undemocratic and just plain stupid.

I think. after watching the feasco on tv last night,With China having thier ass
kiss by our prime...makes you wonder...
I still wonder about the 14 Billion that was {missed placed-Lost}
How do you lose 14 Billion dollars? and yes its 14 Billion...
Thats a lot of money, Maybe someone bought some more 2 nd hand subs for
our non {navy}... {thoses guy put thier lives on the line for us every day
and we put them in death traps,,, whats up with that?} wasted spending
eveyone does it..and we the people just sit around with our thumbs in our bumms...
And gas... up up up it goes and we put up with it.. Our gas is ours, we sell
it to every one else,They sell it back to us for much more-then the feds tax
it heavy... and sell it to us..Dho...
The U.S. gets 1/2 of their gas from us...Not from the gulf or arabs, their
gas is only .25 percent of the world stock, and yet every time a storm
or some other BS reason pops up... They raise the price of gas...
wake up...hello...its a sham... and the feds know it.. But you guys vote for them anyway...

That has to do with the fact that if there's a gas shortage or reason to believe there will be a gas shortage anywhere, people start buying gas like crazy. That means there's less gas to go around globally and therefore the amount of money one can (and does) charge for gas rises. No government is really responsible for rising gas prices in the world (not just Canada).
