Anti-U.S. Solidarity Meeting Held in S. Korea
Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- The 72nd anti-U.S. solidarity meeting reportedly took place in Seoul on Sept. 13 on the theme of "Let's smash the moves to forcibly usurp land for the expansion of the U.S. forces' base in Phyongthaek." Attending it were members of civic and social organizations including the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification and the Phyongthaek Measure Committee against the Expansion of the U.S. Forces' Base. At the meeting speakers accused the military authorities of threatening to forcibly plunder the residents in Phyongthaek of their land for the expansion of the base. A resolution read out at the meeting urged the military authorities to bear in mind that they can never break the will of the residents to protect their native land at the risk of their lives.
Now, IMHO, this is a poor choice for a slogan. I mean, it's really hard to make a chant for that.
Also, something like that would be really hard to put on a button. Or a banner, or a nametag. Poor, poor choice of slogan. It's not even catchy!
If you're going to decry the US "Occupation Forces" in South Korea, At least have a worthy slogan.
This has been your Daily Jong for 9/19/05. Have a nice day.
