This is something I have been wondering for awhile. Here we go just pick what political party you tend to side with.

I voted green, but only because the economy is in need of a serious overhaul. We are going to run out of fossil crude oil in the next century at this rate.

Do you mean the party one actualy votes for or the party one would vote for if they had more than a snowballs chance in hell of winning?

Those should coincide. One vote makes no difference to the election result, so the way to not waste your vote is to vote for somebody you feel 100% good about voting for.

I am very simular politically to the Lib-Dem party in England.

If someone could please explain to me what they are like as I know nothing of them.

I voted Green because that's where my vote will be going for the time being, but in the end I am a Fascist.

Odd combination, isn't it? But like I always tell my friends, The Fascists of Italy may have worn Blackshirts, but they wore green pants.

My goal in life is to sweet into the white house and convert the country into a dictatorship, with me at the head.

I marked "other."

Other: none of the above
Since I don't agree completely with any party platform, I choose to not align myself with any of them.

No, fair comparison. The Republicans in the US aren't completely populated with people I totally disagree with. The German Republikaner are. ;)

In my state you have to register either republican or democrate to vote in the primaries. I think the democratic party has shifted too far to the left for my taste so I registered republican. In reality I am finding out that I am more of a centrist, so both parties are kinda extreme for me lately. :( but whatcha gonna do?

in america i'd probably vote democrat.
in the UK i vote lib dem or labour (LD last time) just to keep the tories out. i'd like to vote communist or socialist party, but keeping the tories out is more important
in germany, i'm not sure. possibly Green because under proportional representation its not a wasted vote like it is in the uk. that, and the greens typically seem to ally with the left parties anyway

This is a bit of a nitpick, and I don't know if you can edit the poll or not, but it's not the Democrat party, as Newt Gingrich and his clones like to say--it the Democratic party. Gingrich hit on that some years ago as a way to try to separate the party he opposes from the notion that it's related to democracy, and whenever I see that usage, I try to point that out.

I'm affiliated with no political party. Whenever elections turn up I have to read all the manifestos (under the assumption they're accurate, as naive as that might be) for people standing near me and decide which I disagree with least.

Last time 'round I decided that was UKIP. I'm largely indifferent towards Europe, so didn't really consider that aspect of their policy important, their immigration policies were no harsher than any other party, they seemed to value personal freedoms more than any of the others, and they got rid of Kilroy-Silk, whom I consider a rather distasteful character.

Shame the UK doesn't really have any parties that are anti-authoritarian and slightly (but not too) left wing.

While there are some notable differences, some ideas from the Green party platform fit well with Fascism. Both stress ideas of lowering big business, democratic business, increasing workers rights and which is why out of all Democratic parties I choose Green, but at heart I am a Fascist.

There are of course some things I dislike about the Green party, but those are also things I doubt will ever become laws.

[Note: When I say Fascism, I am refering to the American Fascist Party.]

I subscribe to the notion that most parties pick issues at random, which makes me 'moderate' or 'centrist'. I may actually be Populist, but I haven't done enough research on that...

I tend to vote Republican for single-issue reasons.

I'm not associated with any of these parties as I don't live in the USA but if I did it would either be the Communists or Democratic Socialists. In Scotland I am a strong supporter of the Scottish Socialist Party (http://www.scottishsocialistparty.org).

By the way, if the fascist's shirts were black, and their pants were green, why is your font purple?
