What's the latest movie that you've seen?

I'm somewhat bored at the moment because in NY everyone is currently out looking for food. The problem here, is that I can't go in search of my food until everyone else has gone home, or else I might touch one of them and catch AIDS of the face, and so I am temporarily imprisoned in the Library.
To make matter worse, the rest of the topics here are boring, because none of them are about me, and so I decided to start one of my own.
Without further ado:
What was the latest movie that you've watched and was it any good?

For myself, it was The Corpse Bride. Went to see it because I have always had a special place in my heart for necrophilia, and it was pretty good. It was a Burton movie, though, so there were a couple of songs that sounded like the sort of horrid forced monstrostity a 4th grader high on gluesticks would write for his school play and a few moments where there was the sort of forced zaniness that children and the extremely stupid find amusing.

So, anyway, shutting up now.

I just saw 8 Mile on my University movie network.

For a gansta rapper, Eminem isn't a half bad actor.

Of course, I'm better...

Transporter 2. Not bad, but not too good either. Pleasantly mediocre, I would say.

The 40 year-old virgin was hilarious. End of story.

FFVII: Advent children...
Hmmm. The movie is about 1'30", which is an hour too long. There's a lot of jibba-jabber by scene-chewing, leather-clad prettyboys. The plot is retarded garbage, and the only redeeming quality is that it builds up anticipation for the arrival of certain familiar characters. The last half-hour is nonstop action scenes, and they are fucking killer. I had to watch it again, in slo-mo, just to soak in all the glorious details. Better than a Jesus-juice enema. But the fights, while certainly rousing, lack impact. I guess they aren't so eager to kill off a character if the model cost them a fortune to design.

You don't need to know the story of Final Fantasy VII to watch the movie. Actually, having beaten the game is probably a hinderance; watching them blow millions, rendering emo drama queens instead of showing more of characters that were actually in the game, will drive a man crazy.
