From the poll, I'd have to pick Picasso.
I also like Echer, Roy Lichenstein, Klimt, Damien Hurst, and one most of you wouldn't have heard of: Ralph Hotere (a NZ artist).
The only print that I have of his(mainly cause they haven't made any prints of his other work):

From the Poll, I picked Dali. Outside of the poll, I have a great deal of passion for the works or Georgian artist Radish Tordia.

Pablo, always. He spent his life trying to discover how to paint like a six year old child, free of clouding perceptions. Beautiful.

Used to like Dali, but he gets a bit...i dunno...there's no depth to it, it's all about show.

I picked Salvador Dali, just because he was able to combine amazing imagination with amazing technical ability.

There are two artists that are not on the list that I do feel deserve an honorable mention at least:

H.R. Geiger
Keith Haring

Picasso has some of the worst art ever. I hate the double faced things.

Salvador Dali is my favorite, followed by Charles Demuth. The mid 20th century was devoid of artists with any talent, though thankfully, they started making a comeback in the past twenty years or so. It'd be interesting to see what artistic movements form in the 21st century.

Do you mean to say he isn't "(a)nother of the many, many greats who I didn't have space for on the poll"? ;)

My favourite on the poll is Edvard Munch. Picasso, Chagall, Kandinsky and Sean Scully are really good.

From the poll, I'd have to say Picasso, but out of all of them I'd say Warhol. (And, no, not just because he's from Pittsburgh, though it's a plus.)

Gotta go with Canada6. Norman Rockwell is the bomb; paintings are the next best thing to depicting American culture to Vaudeville and the Blues.

Yup.

First you want to know where he was, then you say he wasn't one of the greats!?! Make up your mind....

(That must have been what you meant, unless you know a secret way to put 11+ options on a poll.)

I go with other. My personal favorite is Vladamir Lebedev. Not great, not well known, but if I had to pick only one painting from the twentieth century to hang on my wall, then I choose would something by Lebedev.

Number two would be Gerhard Richter. (Again just a personal opinion, I am not saying that he is the "best", just a reflection of my own taste).

Why would I ask where Rockwell was if I wasn't a huge fan?
