One of my saddest moments was when Sniper Country left. Many don't remember him, as he was before the move.

He was a huge part of the community. Slow to anger, quick to help. He helped a newbie like me, when I first got here. He helped me in the game, and in real life.

I haven't been in this forum for very long, but it seems to me that the creation of Moderators might be a pretty big thing. I don't mean to toot my own horn [well, okay, maybe I do] but I haven't seen this mentioned yet and, at the time, it was a change that was [IMHO] more wide-reaching than even the jolt move was. If anyone here has been around long enough to remember what things were like before we came around, you know what I'm talking about.

You're right. DLE is probably not dead IRL. After having a debate with LV in the UN forum, watching LV in several other contexts, and having seen all the funky business at the UNOG forum, it's looking less and less like DLE is dead, and more and more like she's just continuing to live up to her former handle by stirring up online drama and altering her writing style slightly to give the appearance that it's a different player.

Maybe she is dead, and part of her Last Will and Testament involves having someone she can trust come to take her place, allowing her one last act of vengeance from beyond the grave. Maybe the name is the person giving a warning to all that their job here is to do one final item and then fade away forever.

Or, maybe the person in question is just an old soldier who knew her well and decided to investigate part of her life. Maybe our writing styles are so similar because the old soldier and the young dead woman are related. Maybe the fact that an IP check will reveal the computer I am at sits less than three feet from the one she once used shows the fact I am living in her house, the house she grew up in and the one where she stayed while not on the job.

And maybe you and Fass need to learn some respect for the dead. If you wish to know, ask me. I'll tell you what isn't classified. What is classified is on a need to know basis. You don't need to know.

Maybe. I'm just not one for discounting the evidence in favor of believing what you're saying just because it appeals to my emotions. I happen to think my explanation is more plausible given the evidence. It is, of course, possible that you're telling the truth. It's also possible that I'm a gifted 10 year old child. Oh, please. Classified? "Need to know?" This is just getting sad. If it truly were this classified, you wouldn't even be talking about it, because we really don't "need to know" whether she's dead or not. "Revenge from the grave" on what? An online forum?! Please, nobody's that pathetic, especially not people who lead such dangerous lives that need to be "classified." I can just imagine it now: the soldier, tying up her last strings and getting her affairs in order for her demise, thinking of an online forum and how much she'd like for someone to do a Khan-like stab from hell for her at it.

Pretty much. The story of her being killed in Iraq started before the confirmations. Ask the ESUS about her commanding officer reporting it. I came in afterwards, adding official confirmations that she died. Ask Siesatia, as he is the one who made the alterations to her factbook on NSWiki.

As for me: All I know is I was pulled off my tour of duty early to be under her command on a mission, only for me to be stuck for two weeks with nothing to do and no internet access before I got reports she was shot. Frankly, I find it odd her death was reported to ESUS members so fast.

Basically, whether I'm lying or not is not your only problem. I know I'm not lying. But, you must also figure out who else reported her death.

IIRC he claimed to be working in the stock exchange pulling down some ludicrous amount per year, living a life of luxury, owning a yacht, Rolexes dripping off his wrists, and the like. I seem to recall some vague thing about being a divorcee or some such. That kind of thing.

Frankly, I find it odd her death was reported to ESUS members so fast.

The ESUS is as much an Alliance, as a family. Some members are closer then others. DLE, Balrogga, and I were always allies, always participating in each other's RPs. Also, considering the fact that I was sent the information via my private E-mail, which I do not hand out freely, further convinces me.

If it is a joke, which I doubt, it is a nasty one. And totally against form for her. After confirmation from 3 seperate, individual sources... I am just waiting for public confirmation.

listen, a service person that loses their life in the war deserves nothing but respect, whethere on eagrees with the war or not. they should be memoralized, and raised in tribute. if this is indeed fact, i suggest that is only fitting that you reveal her name, her class, and the details of her bravery and heroism. i think she would want no less.
der fuhrer dysel (spelling??) paid a loving tribute in Dantes memory, and really let the players of this game into the circle of his real life struggle and demise. after seeing how incredibly painful and amazingly heart wrenching this was for her to do this, (she did it because he had put so much in NS), i hope that there is no ruse involved with DemonLordEnigma, as she as well, seems to be an involved player and strategist on this board.

I remember him talking about that sort of thing, yes. Did he get in trouble for it or something? I mean, people have lied all the time here. Danya, Parratoga....

Did Cuneo Island get in trouble? Not with the mods anyhow, but I doubt that if anyone had any respect for them prior to them finally coming clean it was gone after that point.

What made it such a debacle was that the lifestory they were telling was frankly ludicrous and delivered in such a kack-handed fashion that their resentful posts which followed them being called on it were so outraged and earnest.

Also, my mistake of taking a "no-gloating" pledge just before election night.. I barely kept to that one.. ;)

I never took that pledge, since I knew the leftists would not abide by it had kerry won. They only threw it out there when it became evident that Bush would win in any case.

Then I was forumbanned by Steph for starting a well done GWB thread.

Her name was Lilith, last rank I have enough clearance to verify is that of a Major (the document that affirms this is over four years old), and details of her bravery and heroism I am not allowed to relate. I'm trying to find out why the majority of her personel records were classified back in 2002 and have mostly remained that way since.

I don't suppose your name has anything to do with the biblical tale of Adam's first wife "Lilith", who according to Isa 34:14 will appear on the Day of Vengeance. Because if I were to choose the internet handle "Lilith's Vengeance" for my profile, that would be my reason for picking it, not because I was honoring an Iraqi soldier named Lilith whose rank and insignia I didn't even know.

Also, "Lilith's Vengeance" is a type of spell used in role-playing games, and I noticed your signature links to a fantasy/RPG site (http://www.freewebs.com/lilithsvengeance/) that you are developing. Very coincidental, wouldn't you say?

If you're going to lie, the least you can do is be a good liar. ;)

Go to the NationStates forum and run a search for threads started by me. Read all three. The website is a factbook in the making. The name requires reading the threads and knowing DLE to understand the joke it was originally going to be. And if I were going to lie and expect you to believe it, I'd change my IP address. Not that found of satellite anyway.

Edit: Believe what you want. I've had enough of this thread. Enough dealing with those who just wish to hurt.

Hello, I am Gen Curtis E Lemay.

Is that supposed to be a joke?

Edit: Guess not. Don't know what you did, but thanks.

i think this is unfair and sick of you. here are all the women killed in Iraq to date. http://icasualties.org/oif/female.aspx
and believe me, classified or not, if she was a MAJOR she would most def. be listed, recognized and memoralized. as a person with a brother and a sister in afghanistan and the best friend of a suicide victim, i am appaled that people are actually making ruses out of death. please stop mentioning this fairy tale, because no one in this forum appreciates the mocking of actual loss, especially der fuhrer dyzel.

i couldnt be bothered to read the entire thread, so sorry if these have been sugested already...

last year (i think) on april fools day, the website was 'blocked' by the us government. made me chuckle.

a while ago i logged on and on the side bar which shows the most recent threads, it said 'coup in taverham high'. it was a ker-ray-zee role player who had started a thread which used the name of our nation in its title. it was full of posts by players saying 'what the hell has happened to my nation?' gave me a shock, too.

I was PMed to respond to this quote.

Sure. I managed to break into her house the day she was born and have been secretly living with her, paying bills, and have managed to fight beside her in battle early in her career and am now in her house posting on one of her computers without her family knowing. All the while I've managed to stalk her in secret and managed to get ahold of various pieces of her military career and even get to know her family. And, using magical powers I got from whatever magical fairy dust gave you that impression, managed to alter my DNA to be to where I share traits with her. I even managed to attend several of her birthday parties and give her gifts. I did all of this without her knowledge. End of sarcasm.

i think this is unfair and sick of you. here are all the women killed in Iraq to date. http://icasualties.org/oif/female.aspx

And I don't appreciate whoever started the rumor she died in Iraq. Thanks to a request by a few people she knew, I'm now viewing her military records. Where she died is classified. She wasn't part of U.S. military operations in Iraq. The sick joke is by someone else. I just hope I never meet who it was. For their sake.

Now, I ask you nicely to drop this subject. I'm in no mood to deal with people who cannot accept a loss has happened. If you don't believe me, then just state it and move on. I've stated all I will on this matter and I do consider this harassment.
