In all seriousness, I like Jello Biafra (the artist). He's a bit of a nut nowadays, but back in the heyday of the Dead Kennedys, he was great.

I find it disturbing that a man called Jello Biafra was able to predict the future better than I was back in the 80's.

I believe that Jello the NS poster and Jello the artist are one and the same.

For those of you who are familiar with Jello Biafra's post-Dead Kennedys career, which is your favorite?

I am indifferent until we hang out more. :P

The stuff with Nomeansono, DOA, & Mojo Nixon was all amazing but LARD simply takes the cake.

...i like jello biafra in the kennedies, with lard and his spoken-word records, he's very funny and occasionally provides some surprisingly sharp observations. good stuff.

i love jello. especially peach jello, which i'm sure the lot of you have never heard of. its a shame really....

yeah, it's anti-conservative. it's also a loud, kind of squalling punk rock, so you may not like it on that level either. it's not for everyone.

The stuff with Nomeansono, DOA, & Mojo Nixon was all amazing but LARD simply takes the cake.I have to agree. Lard was actually the reason I started listening to the Dead Kennedys in the first place - I love Ministry, and looked at Lard as a Ministry side project. And the fact that the newly released EP at the time was called "70s Rock Must Die" didn't hurt matters.

His voice makes me want to smoke crack and and visit anal destruction upon all and sundry. In other words: Shut Up Jello. (The singer, not the ever-so-slightly insane NSer)

i like his singing voice. it suits the music he's doing (seriously, would we want a classically trained singer fronting the dead kennedies? the dead kennedies featuring celine dion? me thinks not) and it's interesting. although, again, i admit it's not for everyone.

To be honest, I never could stand listening to him. The only time his voice was a pleasure to listen to was when he played the border guard in the movie Highway 61. All my friends loved DK back in the day. I hated it.
