Yes, yes, I know, the title is racist....But anyway, what's the greatest sports play you've ever made. This was inspired from yesterday when I caught a pass while diving into the endzone.

Um...there're too many to count.

I used to play soccer (before I was sidelined due to knee problems). A number of times I've managed to take the ball from my own backfield all the way down the field to assist in a goal.

Or the times that I've been in just the right place, at just the right time, and deflected the ball just right to save the game.

Of course, I have my funny stories too. There's the time the sweeper on my team (and a very good friend of mine) went to clear the ball - and clear it he did...right into my face from about 10-20ft away. Laid me out (did I mention he used to play forward / striker?) - as in, feet went above my head. Members of other teams not even playing knew who I was for the rest of the season...

Only if you're speaking to a group of people of another race and you're about to say something mean. Not when you're talking to a bunch of 1s and 0s. Silly.

Back when I played baseball I was fielding on 2nd base. The batter hits the ball between me and the 1st baseman. The ball was closer to him than me, but for some reason he hesitated. In any case a make a dive for the ball and throw it to him to tag the runner out and end the inning.

i was once shooting at the target from quite a ways a way(not shure exact measurement) and the arrow i shot ricochetted off of the end of my other arrow(which was actually quite far from the middle, but still, grouping is good, and i'd call that a tight group, heheh)
and i've gotten some darts imbedded in the ends of other darts with my blowgun.

Well, I don't really have a single play, but a best sports game. My baseball team was playing the best team in the league (we were fourth in the standings) and I had almost no experience pitching but was forced to start the game since a lot of our pitchers' arms were injured or too tired to pitch, plus it was the day right before the playoffs were set to begin. Anyway, I pitched the best game of my life, going 5 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits and striking out 9 while walking 2. Unfortunately, the bullpen blew it in the sixth and I got a no-decision, but it was still easily my best sports game.

congratulations on the spectacular TD reception!

the most memorable was my first touchdown in junior high (7th grade... euros, I was 13 years old):

at that time I was playing quarterback. we ran the option.

the play call was strong right, triple-option right... my options were to hand off to the fullback, keep the ball myself, or pitch to the halfback.

the ball was snapped, i immediately faked the hand-off to the fullback and commenced running down the line of scrimmage.

The defensive end jumped out to cover the tailback, and I cut up into and through the hole the defensive end left when he moved to cover said tailback.

and i ran, and ran, and ran, and never got touched... was a 68-yard touchdown. had i handed off to the fullback, he'd likely have gotten 2-3 yards (the middle linebacker was waiting for the FB).

Had I pitched to the tailback, the end and/or corner would have gobbled him up.

someone must have blocked the outside linebacker on the strong side, because he didn't touch me. and there must have been decent downfield blocking (corner, safeties) because they didn't touch me either.

i spiked the ball, feeling like a million bucks, and stayed on the field to kick the extra point, which i promptly missed (lol).

I believe chess doesn't actually count as a sport, but I don't care - in my local league last year, we were losing 2-1 on a four board match, with mine the last to finish. My game was heading for a draw (my opponent had already offered one in fact, but I'd declined, as it meant we'd have lost 2 1/2 - 1 1/2), with both of us having queen, two rooks and identical numbers of pawns. However, his king was better defended. I was focusing on trying to promote a pawn, which he was trying to prevent, when I realised that with the position I'd created, by sacrificing a rook, I'd mate in two moves. Felt bloody good I can tell you. Though I guess you'd have to have been there. And understood what the hell I just said...
