Communism and Monarchy

Am I the only one who's noticed that Monarchy seems to be thought of better then communism even though Monarchy gives "No" freedom to the people opposed to communism that although was pretty bad did in the end give a certain amount of freedom? (In communism you can elect the next leader after the former one dies and other things I can't remember)

Well it was basically "Vote XXX in or don't vote at all" The only difference is that in a monarchy, they're open about how the government work, while communist countries try to fool you into thinking the "people" are in charge

But True Communism would allow this. However, this will never be attained, which renders my own point useless. Damn.

The people are in charge. There is no leader. The reason why communism doesn't work is that soon enough someone wants to be in charge. It's not because Communism is evil (which it isn't), it's because humanity is flawed.

So, there is no need for elections, as there is no leader.

I like Communism more...monarchy is ruled by one family...Communism is ruled by the GOVT...I am a dictator...so...lol....NO FREEDOM!

I like the idea of Communism...not the Soviet way...but the Marxism.

Government should rule all.
But people can have a voice, though, may not be heard as much.

Communism may have its basic differences with monarchy, but you don't have to be a sociologist to see that a corrupt elite is in charge in both systems. Actually, communism is quite clever: The aristocrats try to make the people think that they are in power, and sometimes they are very successful, as oppossed to monarchy, which the monarch tells the people that he or she is in power. In either case, both are detrimental to the progress of civilization, and they must be wiped off the face of the earth, because they are a parasite on human thought. By the way, I'm a socialist (and an atheist :) ). I think that the government should help people and ensure their well-being through a democratic process so that the mistakes of communism aren't made.

It was a joke. This (http://www.made-in-china.com/showimages/111/204958/0/Ruler_(EP101).jpg) is a ruler, used to draw straight lines. You said they have none.

Communism pwns monarchy. A stateless classless society is far better than an élite few above the average person.

I thought this was about in practice, not in theory?

So, it is far better to be ruled by the most convincing of two liars then?

I would MUCH rather a monarch with a sense of duty than any other ruler (apart from me obviously).

Heh... Cheeky communists.

Anyway, you're describing some sort of presidential dictatorship. It doesn't matter if it were to call itself a communist state. A hat is not a shoe just because someone says it is.

North Korea is called socialist or communist, but its obvously not.

Reasons

Communism
Is it a stateless, classes society with no ruler....nope.

No further questioning needed, certainly not communist

Socialism
Are the means of production in contoled by the workers? nope
Is it democratic? nope its a monarchy, the leadership is passed from father to son under the current system. Socialism is againist this.
Are the people freer then they would be under capitalism. nope, socialism would be a 'freer' society then a capitalist one.

As you can see North Korea was never communist or socialist and neither was any other "socialist" state.
