I have just ran across a scientific article in The Onion that possibly competes with the great "Science is Hard" article as to be the funniest scientific article in the Onion.

Thats hilarious! Its like there's some kind of form journalists use when writing science articles and the Nnion staff just inserted "pants" and "fashion" in the blanks where "cold fusion" and other such terms would normally go. Very well done.
