I've been asked to design a webpage for some associates of some friends, and being relatively new to this, I'd like to appeal for help. Does anyone know of any stores of public domain images online, either free or for a fee? Any help would be much appreciated, peeps :)

They're not public domain, mate. Google Image Search does just that: searches the interweb for pictures. The huge, huge, huge majority of them copyrighted. That's what I'm not after. I don't want to get told to take the site down.
