In one of Chris Rock's standup routines he pointed out that men lie the most while women are the biggest liers. For Example, a man's lie is like "I was at Tony's house!" while a woman's lie is like "It's your baby!". Also, think about all the products that women use to "enhance" their natural beauty. If you wear high-heels you aren't that tall! If you wear makeup your face doesn't look like that! If you wear a wonder bra your breasts aren't that big! In the words of Chris Rock:

Now maybe you misunderstand the basic push-up bra, my dear......

The BASIC push-up, or the more comfortable (and also cuter if you're more inclined to be shirtless, like me) push-up demi bra, doesn't have any padding whatsoever. So it's not a lie. Our boobs really are that big. They're just not naturally that......weightless.

I mean dang, I've seen some people go a wee bit extreme with the push-ups, yes....but I figure if your figure (...pause....redundancy) only changes by an inch or two, it's not dishonest, it's a matter of packaging.

Crap, I'm going crazy with that sometime. I'll be all like "Eh-oh told me so!" and probably get my ass hated all over.....

While both sexes lie, in my experience, women have told the more f*cked up lies. To me, a lot of lying can be attributed to the desire to avoid conflict either through fear of the consequences or to retain the benefits of a relationship.

Women are naturally more avoidant of conflict than men, so I can see a lot of lying done for that reason. Then, there's the other kind. Men will lie to get into a girl's pants, and women will lie so they can have one guy buy them stuff while they screw around with someone else. I consider the latter a 'lil worse, so I'll conclude that women are worse when it comes to lying.

Well, okay, well......it's a harmless white lie, then, and not nearly as bad as some that I've heard from men.

Goofy romanticism is only how I operate, it's just me and I can't be any other way. I have tried to be serious on the first few dates but I just can't! As time progresses in a relationship I can become more serious, but I'm just a goofball.

Shit, man, if I'm with a woman in a place where I see her breasts up close and personal, chances are I like her enough in one way or the other to think her breasts are magnificent if they have actual spikes shooting out of them. Hep C covered spikes. (besides which, who the hell says they're more attractive in a bra? They're just more noticeable, which is a moot point once the outer layers come off)

This is a tough one...men lie about things superficial as well. If you bring up plastci surgery, push-up bras and the like you must also remember that guys get hair transplants, dye their greys and put lifts in their shoes.

I figure it's about equal. And the more push-up bras the better. I think women will go the extreme with a lie, whereas men are more "white" liars so to speak, but nonetheless, it all adds up to about equal. I mean...I know on the internet men love to lie about their penis size as much as women love to lie about 38 DD's. If every woman has huge internet boobs then it is okay for every internet man to have a 12 incher. I'd never say I had a 12 incher, but there it is...

I mean it must be bad enough to get a woman (or a man) home, only for the clothes to come off and have the unsightly truth revealed. But how awful must it be to lay hands on the object of your (possibly drunken) desire, and have her tit come off in your hand!??? :eek:

Maybe that's just my way of seeing things, but I find it immensly more easy to trust a woman. Could be because I can see through any lies more easily, I don't know.

I think women realize that while men do lie like crap, they do present the truth in a less truthful light, so it's about equal. Because seriously, my natural inclination was to vote the top option, but I thought I'd be fair about it.

Men are basically honest. When he says something, you can assume he's not lying, unless he's actively trying to lie for some personal gain.

Women are instinctive liars. Everything she says is aimed at her personal gain, unless she's actively trying to be truthful. Whether or not she HAS to lie is irrelevant; truth can be just as effective.

Women are instinctive liars. Everything she says is aimed at her personal gain, unless she's actively trying to be truthful. Whether or not she HAS to lie is irrelevant; truth can be just as effective.
I don't know, I'd say that a good deal of what men say are aimed for personal gain as well. If that's the argument, then technically they'd be just as inclined to lie in the same instances.

That's right, but men have to try. Women do it instinctively.

To analyze a man's speech, first evaluate it as he'd be telling the truth. Then, check if there's some immense personal gain that would make him risk his honor as a honest man.

To analyze a woman's speech, skip step #1 and look for any personal gain, minor or not. Then try to find out if there's some reason to be honest.

Women are terribly attracted towards psychopaths and other people who can lie for personal gain without getting caught.
