I play marines, nids and orks. By far my favourite are orks. They look cool, kick ass in combat and are my kind of race. They like to take the fight to the other person, screaming their heads off as they go making the whole attack look very scary in the process. Their method is good.

For this reason, orks has to have my vote.

Whereas the fallen melancholy of the eldar race, infused with the pagan faith of thr ancients, is positively boring, and the pheonix lords are simply worthy of contemptuous disregard.

The reason why i picked the Inquistors is because of thier loyalty. they would gladly die an infinte deaths for the Emperor. I wish i had troops like them....

Undying hatred works as well as undying loyalty, it's just a bit… unpredictable in its results. I'm trying to make 3D Khorne Power Armour at the moment… harder than you'd think.

only real veterans had heard of necrons
tyrannids were unorganised
imperial guards were neevr used
eldar were rubbish little characters which couldnt do anything

It may be a surprise to learn that a cute, fuzzy, peaceful liberal like me plays the one army that is more depraved than the Dark Eldar, but I play Slaanesh Chaos Space Marines. Nothing like a bit of sonic blaster death followed by some combat-drug induced close-combat slaughter.

I've played necrons since they were all metal models and scarabs were little exploding swarms of fun (gods I miss that rule). Of course now we have the great star gods the c'tan and monoliths.

why hasnt anyone said anything about those glorious spawns of hell that are the tyranids? theyre so much fun to play, especially when your opponent realises that hes left the back of his tank open to a strength 10 carnifex! theres nothing cooler than a swarm of beasties who dont care if you're a slave or a general, to them your just food!

I've been collecting WH40K for 12 years now. I remember the first metal Space Marines (lead), the first plastic (white) Space Marines, then back to metal (tin), plastic (gray), white metal... (*head spins*) I haven't gotten any of the new plastic models because of their ridicolously high price. Screw GW. I've got enough to wage war for millenia:

SPACE MARINES: I have approximately 4 great companies of Space Wolves (with only about 20 models painted, the rest is either clean, base coated or colored wrong). Including oldest, old, older, and plastic Terminators (about 40).

ORKS: Additionally approximately 100 orks & 200 gretchins await a paint job.

IMPERIAL GUARD: There's more than 50 Imperial Guard awaiting assembly and painting.

CHAOS SPACE MARINES: Then, to make things complete, there's a horde of 100 models following the Plague God Nurgle. Most of which are assembled but not painted, including Greater Demons of various ages, Plaguebeareres, plague zombies and 30 models of the Death Guard. Plus Terminators.

I'm going for the Tau, I just love their infentry models and their lore is interesting to me at least.

Kroots are possibly the classiest and coolest warriors in the whole game. I was playing with a couple of my buddies, and my one friend with the kroots ran them from cover and they cut down my whole squad of 5 scouts. I then mowed them down with a total of three space marine squads. Watching the kroots duke it out and then get mowed down was definatly the highlight of the whole battle

Then I got owned with those stupid korne beserkors with those !@#$ing axes that gave my terminators a 4+ armor save... !@#$ing korne berserkors

I like the Necrons. The coming-back-to-life thing is cool in and out of the game, and I like the idea of a machine army that's been "sleeping" for millions of years.

I'd have to say my favorite race, though, is one that was sort-of left out: the Ordo Xenos of the Inquisition. Alien hunters, highly specialized Space Marines using special ammunition, and Inquisitors, all in one army. Too bad the Codex won't be out for another year at the least, from what I've heard...

I've got a bunch of SM models that I ruined when I started playing and had no clue what I was doing. Now I'm a little more experienced and I have a 500 point force of marines that's about half painted. Beyond that, I could probably get up to 1000 points, but the force wouldn't have any theme.

I don't like the neocrons. Weapons of Mass Destruction my butt...

No surprise that Marines are most popular ( :rolleyes: ) but I'm surprised more people haven't voted for Tau. I mean, this is NS and the Tau are Space Commies :D

I voted for them because they're the underdogs, and of all the races they're the least likely to exterminate/enslave/eat you :D

I love the eldar, so utterly fickle and self serving, so human....
