It is sad. :( And I'm sure most people did not want to leave their pets behind but had little choice in the matter.

I fucking love my dog so I wouldn't, but I haven't been in this situation so I can't say. I'd be reluctant as hell though because my dog is a great companion of mine

intresting article...

You know using the pet logic of this article.....

Since the media likes to claim that the people that couldnt get out of NO were all poor and had no cars, one could come to the conlusion that they are helpless and many have said they were....

And therefore they are pets of the government! I guess that is why you blame the feds right? Like youd blame a homeowner for leaving behind is pet?!

Think about it...it is the exact same logic.

that article must be a few days old, since they're letting people take their pets with them now

You are right, but I would be one of those to either flee or stick it out. I would never leave them alone to fend for themselves. Oh, by the way they are not anything special just a couple of mutts.

We have a contract with the government, we have a contract with our dogs. Neither is written. That's the similarity.

I was going to say something like that except this appears to be a pet rescue organization, not the federal government.

In an instant. A dog is a dog. Lovely creatures, etc.

But, c'mon, show some common sense here.

Ah, but they are something special, to you and I hope you are never faced with the decision the people in NO had to make. Love them, pet them, and tell them they are good mutts. :fluffle:

I pray, I never have to make that decision either. That being said... They are my mutts and I will stick by them until the end.
