What's the most frustrating thing on NS?

Freudotopia

What's the most aggravating thing that happens on NS? Is it n00bishness, or flaming, or spamming? I hate it most when you write up a big, bad thread, very intent on stomping some idiot flat, and then the mod locks the thread. I realise that they have a job to do, but ARRG! It still pisses me off to no end. Especially since it just happened about a minute ago with the Dalilah Rouge thread. But that kind of talk could get me in trouble. So what do you think?

When potentially good RPs on II get screwed up by inactivity or bickering. II has really big problems right now, especially as it's viewed as a "n00b forum" and all the crap RP thats posted in other forums gets moved there.

The bias against communism. I mean how can you be called a liberal scandinavian paradise or something without having a communist classification? And why do the issues always assume we're capitalist.

Totally. That's when my pet peeve is at its worst. You find some snot-nosed punk who thinks he's ready to debate the entire world, and you write up something to flatten him, but the mods beat you to it.

...Not that I have anything against the mods. *nervous giggle*

People who act like they know more than the world than you, even though it's kinda obvious that their version of getting informed involves only reading the headlines and not the "filler" that explains what the hell happened.

People who think I'm a Bushivik all because I find the O'Rielly Factor show entertaining. He has lower standards of who he allows on the show than Jerry Springer. Pure comedic gold.

Hard-core liberals. Sorry. I don't like those that far left. They're extremely biased and hostile. If you're not that biased and hostile, then you aren't as hardcore.

The bad atheists and theists. They make it their job to convert everyone and to attack and flame those who don't comply. The good ones debate good. The bad ones are more arguing than debating.

The "everything's Bush's fault" crowd. Seriously, I believe that there is a no diaper policy here. Everyone does wrong sometimes. Therefore, Bush isn't the only one wronging with wrongful wrongs.

I think it'd be best to just report it and let the mods decide instead of continuing to throw wood on the fire by feeding the troll, if that's actually what it is.

As for my pet peeve? When the "You're wrong, I'm right" crowd don't back up any of their claims, and insist that you're stupid for needing evidence.

What I hate the most is when someone makes a perfectly good post, but with some minor mistake, even a spelling error, and everyone jumps on it as though it makes what they had to say irrelevant. Theres a thread called a question for atheists, which is over 150 pages long but half of these are just bickering about finer points that have no bearing on the debate.

My main problem is when you get in an argument, like the one I had over the (lack of) signifigance in the legend of Lilith, and all that you end up doing is repeating the same damn things, but in slightly different ways.
Secondary problems is people whose only addition is to quote what someone said and say "LOL" or "You pwn'd him" or "Yes, you are right" during a debate. We don't need anymore spamming yesmen in the world, and we don't need any on the Intarweb. Also, people who say source all the time are annoying, especially when they ask for sources on subjective ("I like sauce on my pasta." "Source Please. I don't care what you say. Unless an article on the Intarweb (www.google.com) discusses your pasta preferences, your statement, and any other statement you may make, is invalid), obvious ("Water is wet." "Source Please"), or trivial (I'm to lazy to make an example, imagine one your self) things get annoying real fast.

but it IS frustrating, eh?It's why I'm opting for a sarcasm button to be installed in the posting system that can be set to blink when someone is being sarcastic.
(now the question is: Am I being serious, or is this a joke...? :D)

I have enough problems with sarcasm not being detected in real life because I'm pretty good at controlling my voice... :p

its frustrating that there is no mechanism to end the thread when the definitive answer has been given. in that lillith thread you had the utterly correct indisputable answer to why she is not included in the bible. it was ignored as if it answered nothing and the debate continued on the irrelevant reasons other people brought up

if find that frustrating.

its just not the same when you have typed up something scathingly sarcastic and then have to end it with [/sarcasm] because you know that it was still too subtle.I guess it varies from person to person. The real problem with it is if it's a post from someone you haven't read anything before or someone you've forgotten and you can't tell whether it really was their opinion or sarcastic... Like the whole ID debates. There's people that quote joke sites that turn out to beleive in it...

I drop it into my "confusing" drawer and not my "frustrating" drawer, though...
