How can anyone belive shit like that???
What a douchebag.
Er... what does "douchebag" mean, anyway?

"You and I were married in a previous life", hmmm... that sounds like a good line. I'll have try it out.
Anyway, this guy was lying about not being married, which is a bit more serious than "I saved a puppy from drowning".

What the hell? How is this different from any other case of someone lying or cheating? Stupid people.

You can sue people for lying to you now? That gives me an idea....
Never lie? Good. Never get caught lying is even more important.
I agree with the description of douchebaggery, but you've gotta admit it was pretty clever.

Because once in a while it might actually be true.
People lie about themselves online, constantly..Off and on dating sites. Men and women do it, y'know.
Anyways, what he did might've been wrong, but it certaintly doesn't warrant sueing him. *rolls eyes*

Douche is German for "to clean", IIRC. Basically, a douchebag is what women use to carry feminine hygiene products and used primarily to clean themselves post coitus.
When describing a person, it basically means that a person is scummy, unclean, and disreputable. Which any guy who claims he's single just for sex is.

Lies are also based on preception. Thus you cannot say someone is lying when to themselves it was clearly true. If he believes that honestly and what it appears was he didn't then he was lying really in the true sense.
If someone says they slapped you on the back and you say they punched you who is lying? INTERPRETATION.

The guys a jackass, but the girls deserve it for beleiving him.
Seriously, "Hey baby, you dumped me last time, lets try again, a'ight?"
I sorta agree with the beyond the bonds of human deceny claims, but beyond the bounds of social norms? What society are these women part of? If people didn't lie to get laid, I could probably count the human population without taking my shoes off.

Human Decency....its a part of human nature and is not physically hurting and they took it well. That means it was fair play. Making a girl eat 'mud' cause you are messed up is not that, but telling her that your single and were married in a past life isn't wrong on that part.
Polygamy.....that could count if he believed in it, so in a sense he could be 'fair' about it! ^-^

If you can sue someone you were seeing for lying I'm going to retire and sue a dozen of my exes. I'll never have to work again!

I'll bet that one time he even told his wife that she didn't look fat in those pants, and she really did!

Umm ya. Though that is kinda.....common sense. Why should we be nice and not lie and when a girl asks "Do these pants make me look fat?" do wee HAVE to say "You look bigger then an elephant who's about to start birthing!"
Sometimes a 'lie' is good, and it saves physical and emotional trama.

I think his wife has more cause to kick his ass than these women do.
That being said, I wonder if the point of this lawsuit is really to get money, or simply to get publicity? I can think of few more appropriate revenges on a scumbag like this than to make his name publically associated with scumminess. With any luck, the next few women he tries this crap with will google his name and find this article before they ever go to bed with him.

dont you think thats a TAD harsh?
this douchebag went out with the intent of manipulating lonely gullible women into thinking that he was their soul mate and was actually proposing to marry them.
its WAY past the "i love you/ you are so beautiful" crap that men usually hand out.
the more publicity this gets, the fewer other women he can manipulate.

Amen, brother. Still, I do agree it's good to do the whole public-scumminess bit. Why do they try to get money for it? Because it's money, honeys.

And that would be for the best cause it makes it very very difficult for the good guys to find women. Cuase people like this nut job are out there making men look bad and giving women a false impression of what men are like.

While it definitely is despicable what he did to those women - if I were the judge I'd just tell those women they were stupid enough to fall for his lies. If only stupidity were punishable... :p
There's always two sides to the coin. Women lie all the time! About their weight, their clothing sizes, you name it. Do we sue them 'cause they are bigger than they said? No. Why not? It'd be really dumb.
Now, I can see that polygamy is not accepted - but he didn't actually marry them?
Other than that - If I could sue people for causing distress or whatever - hell, I'd sue half the world!

yeah man, this time the lie caused trauma. thats what i call a bad thing. and you people really can't compare this to telling a women that she "doesn't look fat in those pants." i mean come on.
also, did anyone find it funny that this guy is a fertility specialist? that's some weird kinda irony.

Justice would be if the judge stripped him of his license to practice. Seriously, do want this guy touching your wife or girlfriend or even daughter for that matter?
Would any women want this guy touching them?

Meeting people on the Internet is always risky. These women should have known better. Luckily he was just a jerk instead of a psycho.

While I cannot rule out for sure that those women may have been traumatized - I don't think they would've dragged him to court if he didn't have any money.
There is no way that money can compensate for trauma. That is what bothers me, not that he should receive some sort of punishment.
