In the interest of full disclosure, you are going to remind everyone how Al Gore recieced funding from Fred Phelps, aren't you?

Yeah. That's about as relevant to this discussion as George H. W. Bush's father receiving funding from the Nazis. You also pointed it out in another thread of mine.

You also choose to leave out improtant things like this nugget of info from Wiki

In the ensuing years leading up to Clinton's second presidential campaign, Phelps (and consequently Westboro) turned against Gore for his and Clinton's decided pro and neutral stances on homosexuality. Gore nevertheless invited Fred Phelps, Marge, Fred Jr., and Betty back for the 1997 inauguration; they responded by bringing the entirety of Westboro to the White House and picketing on the front lawn during the ball, [63] with signs proclaiming that Gore, Clinton, and both men's families were going to hell, not necessarily for their stances on homosexuality but because they had "betrayed" Westboro.

In 1998, Westboro picketed the funeral of Gore's father, screaming vulgarities at Gore and telling him "your dad's in Hell."

Yeah, Gore and Phelps are great buddies.

Wait! Stop! You are saying that the current president's grandfather, who may or may not have received funding from the Nazis at some point, is the same as Al Gore taking funds from Fred Phelps during the 80s and early 90s.

Are you telling me that Al Gore, who was the personal recipient of those funds, was such a fucking moron he didn't know what Fred Phelps was about for almost ten years? No fucking wonder his doctor wanted to go with him on the plane! He was probably worried that Al would get lost on the way from the gate to the aircraft.

At least the Shrub had the decency to not be born when the dodgy funds thing happened.

That is Al Gore for you. I could go on about his horrible Senate record, but the Phelps thing is enough.

Great way to dodge the whole point of this thread Lacadaemon. Bring up something totally unrelated and harp on about that, so you can effectively ignore and marginalise the topic, steering it away from the point and getting it completely sidetracked.
Well Done. I guess you have been watching carefully the Bush admin tactics over the past 5 years and have learnt well.

Yes, I thought so too. And it's Mr. Rove to you, not Lacadaemon.

Tell you what, when you actually give a fuck about things, come talk to me. Until then, we can just discuss irrelevances. KTHX.

How the hell is any of this relevant? Can't you just put "Clinton got a blowjob" as your sig and post a blank message for every thread pointing out a legitimate problem with this administration?

Oh right. So it's irrelevant to discuss how the current admin totally ignored warnings that the Levees were going to break, is it? But discussing who gave money to an ex-vice president 20 years ago isn't.
Interesting perspective on things.

"What I'm hearing which is sort of scary is that they all want to stay in Texas. Everybody is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway so this (chuckle) – this is working very well for them." –Former First Lady Barbara Bush, on the Hurricane flood evacuees in the Houston Astrodome, Sept. 5, 2005

Has anyone ever seen the wife of the president of South Vietnam (before we had him taken out) talking about the buddists burning themselves in the street in protest of her husband's government? Shes giggling and so out of touch with everything. Barbara and Laura are acting so much like that its scary.

You're joking right? What was so different about this storm? The chance has always been there. I saw a freaking TV movie about it no less than a year ago.

Ahhh! I get it now. You have issues with Gymoor. I'm thinking, "what the hell does any of this have to do with the Kerry/flip-flop media smear of the old election days". Now I get it.

Well, you know, if you saw a TV movie about it, that must be true. So I guess my degree in civil engineering means nothing, because you saw a TV MOVIE. An let's face it, TV is always true. It never lies.

I thought my CD was skipping. CD's don't use a needle. This is exactly why you should have no say in how the country is run. You are plainly badly educated.

Now tell me again why Kerry didn't flip flop.

Lol, wow, how can you forget what I said just 1 page ago? How about you go back and look? And why should I try to inform you of the truth again when you don't even remember back a few posts? Are you like the guy from Memento?

Your record is skipping. Time to update to CD's dude.

Hmmm. Looks like I said your record is skipping to me. I know, it's a big long sentence.

I have an idea. I know it's a little crazy. Bear with me here. How about you actually attempt to address the issue at hand? I know, I know, it's a revolutionary idea for you. Just give it a whirl. Being relevant might actually be fun if you just try it.

Lacadaemon: You've attempted to hijack this thread multiple times without addressing what the thread was originally about. I suggest that you knock it off before more a more strict punishment is considered. If you're going to stick with this thread, debate points that are actually given in the article of the first post.
