This thought probably came from the deep subconsious thought of my head. All of a sudden, I had thought about NS for Educators, famous politicians and students. There's probably a teacher and a class on the NS forum, using NationStates as a tool to teach kids about world affairs. But, could be, in that class, there is a lad/lass that would be a future leader of his/her nation? What would be Max Barry's reaction to the fact that one of the endless amount of NS fans is now a world leader? Discuss.
Thats a really interesting point... Maybe it's me... ;)

I think NS would be a great tool to teach any government class of how such things work.
Also, I wouldnt be a bit surprised to learn that more than a few noteable people in politics have nations.

I'm sure someone like Whittier- or the slightly older Commando is George W. Bush in disguise. And Cheney's here too, he just doesn't post. He pulls strings behind the scenes to make everything turn out his way. Which I guess... makes him a MOD :eek: :p

Although in all fairness, this place is probably best for training people in how to fire up Creationism/Evolution debates, Pro-life/Pro-choice etc, than it is in how to run a country.
Having said that, there's certainly a few world leaders who don't know much about running a country, so...

He would demand tribute, slaves and a mountain of cupcakes! And if these were not recieved then he would dispatch the mods, like winged monkeys, after this world leader.

A while back I came up with the idea that everyone on NS General forum should run for national office in his or her country. I thought it would be interesting for actual world politics to be shaped by folks like Lunatic Goofballs and Monkeypimp.

hmm...find me a place in yopenya(can't be one of the national socialist run places, please) that has elected officials with an election coming up and i'll run for it.
there's some, but not many and only two for any important positions(and neither is recognized by over half the people :p )
once the Tukayi party(i call them dictatorship in english) had an election for who they were going to place as leader when(if) they were successfully able to get in power, it worked, but when they specifically found control over one place, the person didn't want to go into power.
