Writing blurbs for news stations as politicians give speeches. It just seems like it would be so easy to do stuff like this and have it seem like an innocent mistake.

Yes, you get paid. The president receives $200,000 per year. It may seem like a lot, however, the salary is very small compared to the amount of work. Since you generally need money and backing to become president, nobody wants to be president for the money.

The president does not get paid much straight up cash, but the benefits far far outweight this.

It is like the CEOs who work for no salary, but they get $2million a year for living expenses, a free private jet, plenty of million dollar bonuses and a huge compensation package when they leave the company. Then afterwards they get very high paying consulting jobs for the company they just left, while doing very little work (the consulting part.)

Ah, but your leaving out the fact that when Mr. Bill Clinton walks into a store. Most owner will give him whatever he's there to purchase on the house. $200,000 a year is ALOT of money when you don't pay for half of what you get.

Also, free office and library space for life. Not a bad little racket.
