lol

apparently Cheney was supposed to bring the giant vacuum cleaner to fix the problem.

that's what happens when you get a bunch of people who've become dependent on government to take care of them... they start demanding things.

(in this case, the government SHOULD have reacted more quickly... but at what level? I think the state government, who best understands a state's ability to deal with a problem... not to mention the municipalities themselves... should have been more decisive. Someone should remind this person that Cheney doesn't run FEMA).

Yeah I liked the one where Cheney shredded the Middle East Documents in order for Bush to get kicked out of the White house, he then turned the place into living heck. They even did a Title change saying 'What a Dick'

Good times, good show. Too bad after 9\11 it was taboo to even make a joke about the president.

Question: If you are out in the open, on public property, and curse out someone else, aren't you still within your rights as an American citizen? So there's a scuffle and the protester gets arrested for... speaking? I thought we still believed in free speech.

And if the protester really was arrested for telling Cheney to "fuck yourself" then why wasn't Cheney arrested when he said the exact same thing (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A3699-2004Jun24.html) to a senator last year?

CNN's reporter asks Cheney, "Are you getting a lot of that Mr. Vice President?"

Anyway,.. If ANYONE can control the US government, I'd be not only amazed
but eternally grateful, as it seems to be (as usual and expected) a herd of

And freedom is CERTAINLY not free,.. and is paid for by the efforts of those

Of course he gets a lot of that. But then, so does anyone on the leftist hitlist.

And I agree,.. that ass of a "protester" IS an American Hero..!!

He proves that even a noisy ass can get past vice-presidential security,
which does us all a great service by proving that the Secret Service SHOULD
be allowed to evaporate people who get too close to them, otherwise these
pesky security holes will continue to exist and be a threat to our leaders.

Really mature there, grow up.

Take by the reins? You mean by this Micro-management that's going on? How is controlling Free? Isn't that an Oxymoron?

And the US government IS under Control, just in the control of idiots, that's why it can't do anything. The problem is is that the Idiots have so much control that the ones with actual Brains can't do anything.

Well said. These Bush apologists might prefer to be led around by the nose like cattle, but anyone who tries to do that to me can "go fuck himself."

Also, anyone who cops the kind of condescending, dismissive, and impatient attitude towards human suffering that the spokesmodels for this administration have been doing can also go fuck themselves. Likewise for anyone who points with pride to the scene going on in NO right now. The only people who have the right to be proud of themselves are the ones wading in the muck, pulling people out, delivering the food, shelter, money, etc., and doing it in spite of, not with the help of, those worthless bureaucrats. Cheney interrupts their work so he can drone pointlessly in front of the cameras? Yeah, he *can* go fuck himself.

Why? Because in a free society, the leaders are judged by their records. If those records are as bad as they've been lately, they deserve to be told off, emphatically.

I'm just being clear about where I draw my lines and that I believe that protester's behavior was entirely appropriate to the situation. So there.

PS: Before you label anyone who opposes Bush as a leftist, why not ask if they've felt the same way about left-leaning politicians? Not everyone on the planet is a party-hack, hard as that may be for party-hacks to imagine.

How's his breath? Like mulched babies?
Did he uncurl his other lip, baring a fang, sangunine blackened by countless forays into the gullible, the innocent, the unwielding, the democrats?
Did he have a light spring in his step?
Was he taking time off to have more marrow or stem cells extracted from the powerless to keep him just a little further alive, kinda like Monty Burns?
Did he have that look in his eye kind of like a cat who remembers what it's like to get its temperature taken?

Am I the only one to notice how Cheney looks like a giant grub in a man-suit?
Some sort of John Carpenter's "The Thing" -esque monster?

I don't understand what drives the "Bush Apologists". It's as if, instead of seeing what a s**t government they've elected and trying to do something about it, they view politics as a game of football or something. Like it's a team that "they vote for because their daddy before them voted for it, and so forth", or "they're the conservative party, therefore we have to vote for them", not even considering that the other party may have ideas that they could like, but simply don't listen to them because they're "the opposition":
From www.ericblumrich.com :

Now- you republicans, out there, who are still clinging to Bush, out of sheer determination:

If you wanna be a republican, fine. You wanna vote republican, because you're a conservative, and you have no other choice? Fine-

But you have to stop viewing politics, and the fate of our nation, as if it were pro football. Yeah- I know- you want to cheer for your team, defend it when it's down, and rally around the "star player"- it's fun, I know...

Let me break this gently... Your star lineman has just tested positive for steroids, while sniffing coke with a prostitute in the back of a '78 chevette. The Quarterback was found vacationing in an shack in the wyoming foothills, watching "scarface" over and over, in a room littered with dead boy scouts. The rest of your team was found in a dirty basement in singapore, chewing gum, and betting on cockfights while trading in teenage vietnamese male whores.

Keep your ideology- keep your party- it's all good... However- I have to ask all republicans, here, and now:

Rats have the brains to leave a sinking ship- why can't you muster the same mental fortitude?

Stand with the rest of America, and demand accountability from the people whom you rallied around, for so long- they owe you, at the very least, that much...

Bush and co (aka the Bush Crime Syndicate) have dropped the ball too many times for this to be acceptable. And no, I'm not a party hack, either.
I'm not even from America. But I see what's going on and how it affects the world. It's bad for it. It's that simple.
And when something that's bad for a body comes into being, the doctors must excise it like cancer. Cut it out like gangrene, before it spreads.

I consider myself conservative, and I think Bush does a half-decent job of running the country. Nothing spectacular and without fault, but good enough to be President and to keep my support. You know, your point might make sense if the liberals would finally make sense as a group ;) . Kerry sure didn't in 2004, and if you even dare to send someone like Ted Kennedy or Dean...

I support Bush and the Republican Party because they are the best things out there as I see it. Give me a better ship (aka pick better Democratic candidates), and I'll gladly board. Like, say, Harry Reid, the Democrat Senate leader from Nevada. Hardly your average liberal sissy/wacko/etc

But yeah, this whole thing about Cheney was rather amusing. There are a large number of real idiots in the Republican party in Washington (no, I don't put Bush as one of them), and thanks to them it is going to lose its popular appeal.
