I can't help thinking, when reading the first article, that the tone it sets is one of supremely bitter and malicious expectation.

Everyone knows that men are going to go extinct. The Matriarchy has been cheerfully abusing us for 4000 years, breeding us for greater strength and often stupid dedication to the status quo. Now that manual labour is no longer as necessary as it once was and the whole breeding thing can be overcome, we were bound to fall prey to something. This is a lucky break for the gender oppressors, far easier than a highly specific plague conveniently released by some mad MALE terrorist.

It is a weary lament to lay most acts of violence and aggression squarely at the feet of men. Yet the association is strong and undeniable. Women only rarely commit violent crimes, become tyrants or start wars.

No. She proves that women can be violent. They can be very violent. They can be extremely extremely horribly violent. But most men are more violent than most women. A few examples of what I mean:

Most men are taller than most women. But some women are tall, and some men are short. Just ask a girl who has trouble finding a guy taller than her to dance with. However, it is generally accepted as a rule of thumb that "men are taller than women".

Same goes for strength. One of the secondary sex characteristics for men is a more developed musculature. And yet there are some extremely buff women, and some flabby-assed men. However, it is still a rule of thumb that "men are stronger than women".

Similarly, "men are more violent than women". See what I mean? They're not meant to be true in every possible comparison, but, rather, they're meant to be true on average.

Now denying mutation or repairs (which had to have occured), has anyone ever thought of the time-line in which males need to 'fuck themselves out of existance'? Evolution-wise it is ample time to fix a weak cell or replace or evolve to a better way. Hell maybe the Y-chromosome will fix iself with natural course. If theat doesn't work....breeding or DNA changing.

I seriously doubt that men will let themselves dissappear, assuming that article was correct. Remember, this is a scientific community that invented a pill to cure erectile disfunction before a cure for, say, cancer or the common cold. If it's possible to use genetic science to preserve the Y chromosome, you can bet that we'll find a way to do it.

Well, something about the fact that since there is only one Y chromosome, it can't swap genes to repair damage in the manner of two X chromosomes. So it gets progressively more damaged.
