Say whatever you would like about Michael Jackson, but DAMN could he dance. His weirdness aside, nobody can deny that he was a great dancer. In my book he is the greatest dancer of all time.

The link above is a compilation of some of his best moonwalks.

Who do you think is the best dancer of all time?

No. People like Baryshnikov have him beat with their hands tied behind their backs, and their feet amputated.

They might not be "the best" in some people's viewpoints, but I'm certainly a fan of Gene Kelly and Fred Astair.

Well think about this. Could they dance in the same style that Michael did? Could they do the moonwalk with such precision? I'd love to see them try, but if they could do it then I'd shut up.

You think moonwalking and that pathetic little display Michael Jackson does is good dancing? Bwahahaha! You should see the Bolshoi before you even open your mouth. That would save you the time of having to be shut up altogether.

I must seek out some of his work then and judge for myself.

Morrissey never danced, he just swayed, badly.

Mind you, as indie icons go, it was better than the Bobby Gillespie/Ian Curtis "Epileptic fit" dance.

Again, the epileptic fit dance, not exactly much talent involved...

Besides, they've sucked since "Green"

I, having no rhythm whatsoever, always favoured the Bez-Dance myself.

Well, i would say "nothing after 'Everybody Hurts'", because thats when they went from being a subtle, intelligent group to being a group that stated the blindingly obvious and couched it in psuedo-existentialism.

But, to be fair, they have sorta rediscovered their oddness since they slimmed down by a member, so i'll allow you that :p
