Strengthening the UN

Indeed, I have recieved a message from the Moderaters explaining that my proposal asking regional delegates to recruit thier entire region into the UN, thus spreading the burden of expanding the UN membership.
Currently, only 1 in 3 nations in the world are UN members.
How can this "United Nations" be seen as a real entity if ony 25% of the World are members? The truth is that it can't. My delegate from my region (0000000000 Canada) brought up the proposal to expand/strengthen the UN, and the moderaters rejected it just as it was gaining support.
This is a TRAGEDY.
This was a chance to expand the UN by way of getting Regional Delegates to politely request that their regional members become UN members as well. This was a chance to make the UN mean something to the world, and the moderaters in my opinion, have made a grave mistake.
I do not understand the reasons for this. This proposal meant nothing in terms of actually changeing the game, but rather reinforced the idea of the UN. I do not see a reason for this indemnity. My Delegate would gladly rewrite this if he was not threatened by way of being kicked from the UN.
I ask for your support to re-insert this proposal, and hope that the moderaters can accept the arguement that this proposal to "Strengthen The UN" will not affect the mechanics of the game, and in fact make the game more fun and more interesting with so many more members represented.
Please support the Proposal put forward by "The Socialist Canadian" from region "0000000000 Canada".

This is the general forum, not an RP forum. Seriously, no one here cares.
Try the UN forums.
My Holy Empire makes its opinions on various UN issues known to our region's designated ambassador, which provides me at least with a bit of indirect say in the UN, while not having to endure resolutions I despise. Good enough for me, yes :) .

It sounds like the proposal was a MetaGaming violation, at it was intended to influence the behavior/mechanics/politics of Regions and non-UN nations:
MetaGaming is a difficult to understand category at times, especially since it often shares jurisdiction with Game Mechanics violations. Essentially, a MetaGaming violation is one that breaks "the fourth wall", or attempts to force events outside of the UN itself. Proposals dealing with Regions, with other nations, Moderators, and requiring activities on the Forums are examples. This also includes Proposals that try to affect non-UN nations.

second, you said 1 in 3 nations are members, then said that it was 25%. 1 in 3 would be 33.3%. 25% would be 1 in 4

I meant to say that the UN member nations to non-member nations is 1 to 3, not what i may have said as 1 in 3. sorry about that mistake.
However, the problem still remains. And until this problem is fixed it will remain a problem.
And give me a break man, "ooo, one in 3, its no the same as 1 to 3, oooo, i like to weed out everyones mistakes, ooo".

the forum is titled GENERAL so which i thot that it was for anything, being a new person to this game
was in the UN. Not anymore. waste of time as there is no consiquesnces for the resolutions passed.
Lost faith in the NS UN a loong time ago.

Our entire regions (ok, all 4 of us) are rogue. We figured this on two levels:
1) The UN is worthless in real life. Why would it be of any value in a game?
2) The last thing I want is some of the people that post in the forums effect my nation in the slightest. :D

No, that is not a tragedy. The NS UN is evil, and, should be destroyed, if only that was possible.
Also, does this not belong in gameplay?

well, if you are trying to make an argument, being accurate is important. Simple mistakes weaken the argument, making it less convincing. I wasn't intending my comments to be rude, simply pointing out the mistake, as well as that the general forum is not the proper location to put this. I would suggest Gameplay or United Nations areas, but I rarely leave general.

The Anti Earth-United Government of Super-power strongly opposes any sort of world government like the UN. It usurps national soveriegnty and endangers individual liberties - the exact reasons why we seceeded from a nation controlled by the UN.
No, that is not a tragedy. The NS UN is evil, and, should be destroyed, if only that was possible.
